How I wish that my Ural Gear Up had a hinged rear fender for rear tire removal and install like on this Harley and Vintage BMW’s. Such a practical thing. Removing my rear tire without it is a bit of a hassle as clearance is minimal. The hinged fender would make it so much easier. That Harley is a rolling time capsule. Thanks for sharing as always!!!

Really interesting bike, sounds lovely too. I take it you’re not an all weather biker then!!…….sensible eh? (back in the 60’s I was very stupid; I’ve got photos of me going out specially to ride in 1ft of snow just for the hell of it on a 250 two stroke Ambassador……I’m 78 now and have got (a bit) more sense; I don’t ride when temperature is below 4 degrees C). Hi Mike,that’s some beautiful big bike man, it’s gorgeous, and the patina is awesome , it does 90mph, holy guacamole 🥑 that’s amazing 🤩 and the seat 💺 gee whizz , it looks sooooo comfortable, like a big armchair,I’m really sorry 😞, but I freaking love it 😍, I’d love to ride it, preferably across country and up Route 66, that would be a dream 💭 to say the least. Hello Mike, I believe that 1936 was also the first year of the "Knucklehead", the "Flathead" motor was used to power the Servicar motopr tricycle up to 1973. It has been 16 degrees Celsius here in Calderdale today, very unseasonal weather for the Pennine Hills Wishing you a happy and healthy 2022.

Technology at it's finest ! 35hp w/5:1 compression out of 80cu.in. I took a 2009 17hp EX250 up to 32hp with piston, cam, valve/spring, pipe and jetting kits. The piston set alone was probably more than this Harley when it was new. I certainly prefer bikes in this condition running so well. Hate needing sunglasses to look at show bike examples. Tell Mr. Anonymous WELL DONE !! ps- paddle tires are made in 18" &19" diameters for sand and snow !!

How nice to see so many elements of this bike in my 2016 Road King Police, even the "telltale switch" in the speedo... :-) Front license plate probably indicates it has been to another country? There was a time when Harley's were quite advanced compared to their contemporary's, and this machine is a good example of this. Great survivor - I see she marked her territory in honor of the occasion! Thanks Mike !

They all mark their territory because they are a total loss oil system. You have to constantly check and add oil as it will eventually lose all of it's oil.

With those snow drifts at the outset of this video I rather half expected some Ural sidecar outfit to come chugging in with maybe a little Prokofiev in the soundtrack (like kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXi4q31tm7Z1qsk) --not "The Emperor of Patina". What a fantastic vehicle! Thanks to you AND the "mystery owner" for showing it off. If I owned that AND a Brough I'd keep my identity on the downlow and pull my plates off too...otherwise miscreants would be tunneling into one's garage to get at 'em, I'd wager.
