Quit teaching and staying home with my 16 month old son this year! You wont regret it! Some days I loved being at school and some days I missed him so much or was so tired from taking care of him at nights. Im glad my husband got an amazing job so now I can.

Full days even though they are fun days are so hard on the students and the teachers! It's the same with first graders...it is harder and when they are out of the routine it's definitely tough. Summer break needed for all :) At our school, we have seven kinder classes, and have huge kinder promotions for all. We are so big that we had to have four promotions in the am and then three promotions in the pm. Many parents and grandparents attend and it's a big party. Our last day of school was May 23rd....yay!!! We begin on August 1st.

In Oregon, we typically start right after Labor Day and my school's last day is June 10th - still not sure why they picked a Monday for a last day for students 🤦‍♀️ I start my break next week though to be induced early! Teaching can definitely be rough, but I agree with you that I don't know how people with more corporate jobs do it when you don’t get a summer off.

south carolina gets out on the 30th in Aiken County we go back July 25 in they started the year round school but we get a long break
