I think a lottery would be better than first come first serve. A lot of people don’t have the time to jump on the webpage as soon as it opens and refresh until they can get a ticket before they “sell” out. It still ends up being a sort of digital stampede. A lottery would be more fair, anyone who wants a ticket can apply for the lottery, then all the tickets are selected after a few days to give those with commitments a chance to get a signature.

Ok, so this is extremely important! Strive as hard as you can not to distract Brandon during the lightning signing! It is in his nature to take advantage of that! Personal experience from near the end of the line of one of the lightning signings at Dragonsteel 2023, a lightning signing can become a motorcade if you're not careful! (note, I'm definitely not complaining about my experience, I actually had fun talking with people about how fast it was going while waiting. It was actually rather enjoyable! Rather, some people might have tight schedules, so I say this for their sakes)

In the future it could be a cool idea to charge a high signing fee and do something cool with the proceeds. Support indie others with it somehow or something? Charity of choice? Maybe not for all your signings, but every now and then could be pretty neat concept and another fun way to interact with community to create good

I was able to get in the lightning signing line at the Dragonsteel Convention last year and it was a great experience. Highly recommended if you can't get the personalized signature.

It's such a stupid decision to make Tress not match. Sanderson has stated on Reddit that they're probably gonna do a redesign of all the previous UK Cosmere books since he feels the covers are "outdated". Which is weird since they got updates about 2-3 years ago. Makes even less sense that literally last week a paperback version of Edgedancer released that matches the current UK editions. I find it a real slap in the face to fans who have spent hundreds of euro's for a matching set to just change it halfway through The Cosmere.

Last year, the cover reveal was in August. I'm pretty sure the cover is revealed around 2-3 months before the official release of the book.

Sad that C2E2 is at a time that I can't take time off work for travel and Friday....If I were able, I would absolutely have bought a day ticket if I nabbed a signing ticket :P I really do hope that the online signing tickets work well and continue forward in the future. I'm not really a con person, but I would love to get my books signed. If I could get the signing tickets before the con, it would make it worth it to me to then make the arrangements to attend.

You can definitely get a signed copy of Wind and Truth by purchasing the bundle that will go up on Dragonsteel’s store closer to the release date. Beyond that, we will have to wait and see if there are other ways to get a signed copy.

I was at the Tampa ComicCon last year when Brandon was there. The convention workers didn't know what hit them when they opened the doors and were almost trampled by Brandon fans sprinting across the convention floor enmass to try to get to his booth all the way in the back in order to get those signing tickets. 😂 It's probably safer to do the tickets online. 😅

How does this continuation of the campaign effect when payment is pulled? This is a lot of money and having the payment date pushed back until an unknown date is a pain & frustrating. Maybe people will think this is a dumb question but as someone with ADHD, it is a mental load to continually have to keep it in mind every other payment/transaction I make until it is pulled and I would really love to know when it is going to actually pull.
