I think Brandon underestimates how much Sigzil stands out in Bridge 4. Early on, he's much more similar to the rest of them. Especially in Words of Radiance he stands out by being a bigger part of conversations and offering a unique perspective that tells us more about the world.

Did you listen on base speed? I use anywhere from 1.2 to 1.65x speed when I listen because the narrations tend to be so slow that 1.5x almost sounds like regular conversation speed lol.

seeing how innocent Szeth was when he was young, and the passion he had for life really breaks my heart knowing what he ends up becoming...what ends up happening to him.

Honestly don’t get all the comments here frustrated that this is only one book- or that it wasn’t published. Absolutely loved it- but if he’d published this we would have never gotten stormlight- or at least not in the same way. Just remember, as awesome as Jeri is- Kaladins bridge 4 is so much better. I’m glad this story built the foundation for our stormlight archive- instead of being published as is.

Also had it on gameboy as a kid, miss that big grey square of plastic, lol. I know this is awful, but I remember that it really hit me that the cold war was over when the character Linka from Captain Planet changed from being from the USSR to "Eastern Europe".

I think the MCU got it right in the beginning. Back when Agents Of Shield was on, the movies did the main storytelling but the shows talked about the stuff that was happening in the background. These things didn't really impact the bigger picture but it was still a great story. I loved AOS. Sort of felt like a breath of fresh air while still enjoying the MCU. Now the shows and movies are way too intertwined. Maybe authors can figure out a way to work with that. Some stories can be more or less disconnected while still exploring the world while other books fill out the main plot

The way he frets over the rock and the implications of moving it, he is truly a little Skybreaker, isn’t he? Also, the way he’s being asked to make the decision here reflects the skybreaker ideal of becoming the law itself

Hi Brandon Sanderson, im having a problem with my fantasy novel titles. It seems like every title i come up with, is already taken. No matter what i think of, i hit a quick search, and there it is. What can i do to have an original, yet appealing, title?
@rupinderjeetsinghhans17 сағат бұрын
Can you name your novel "potato juicer" pls, and also, it will be awesome if main character has a literal juicer as head, and he plays juggling with potatoes in his hand. It's original, belive.

Am I the only one who finds the image of a family being terrified of a rock absolutely hilarious? Like, yes, religious trauma- and yes it makes sense in-world- but it's still funny. Just like how Radiants getting Stormlight from spheres conjures up the mental image of sniffing glass balls. I am not sorry.

A lot of the stuff said in this episode is good, but the housing cost issue is not caused by temporary rentals (i.e. AirBNB, VRBO). It's almost all a supply issue, caused by regulations/zoning/NIMBY blocking new housing. Places with less of that have less (or even no ) housing cost issues, places with more of that have bigger housing cost issues.
