Congratulations for 60k!!! I learned about booktube in late 2017 and you were the first one that I watch (it was your November wrap up and then I binge watch every one of you videos in 3 days) and you are still my favourite. Book 2 was MUCH BETTER. (after chapter 2!) The sex scenes are still annoying and some of the stuff at the end is too convenient but overall it actually felt like a fantasy book and some of the characters/friendships are good!

I absolutely adore unreliable narrators/characters, and I think Joyce Carol Oates is a queen for that. My favorite of hers is Bellefleur, but I also love The Accursed and A Bloodsmoor Romance! Her style is unique; it can be hard to get through it, and it's not for everyone I think, but if you love it, heaven! Hope you'll feel better! And I always enjoy your videos, always great! And it would be amazing to have a video per week! (I should probably do that too!)

Lovely no makeup day! Stone Sky made me SOB. That book definitely picks up the pace. I'm sure people are twisting your words to find a way to invalidate legitimate criticism about a popular book. 🙄🙄🙄 I loved the ending of Cabin. I feel like there is nothing more that could be there that would keep everything satisfying for the most people. I did think Wen was a dumb character but I also don't love kids in books period.

Im glad someone agrees that the ending of CABIN was anticlimatic and also vague. Kudos to being a page turner and making me vested in the main characters in a short amount of time butttt..... i guess i just like answerssss. I dont like my books to end with a question mark. Like the character can be left with one, just not me ok? Lol i want to read more apocalyptic books, it did set me on a craving for them lol. I have a book on my shelves called, 'One Second After" which is about EMP terrorism - where all electronics get zapped out and how society deals with no electricity or motors, etc. It will probably be my first read of the new year. Have you read it? I hope you feel better & Happy New Year!

I don’t know why people trash another because their have a different opinion on a book. I’m like: “chill, it’s just a book. Not the end of the world.” It’s so childish. That’s why people can’t have decent debates on something because they start a fight really quickly. It’s just insane.

You might enjoy American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis. The main character is a narcissistic (possibly batshit insane) businessman in 1990's NYC. He vaguely speaks about his "real" life, and describes in great details the things he does at night. I'll leave it at that I think. There's a fantastic movie to go with it. Don't expect to like any character, and above all else, don't trust the narrator. It's shorter than most of what you seem to read, and reads quickly. It's not something you put down out of boredom, rather, disgust. Much like Humbert Humbert in the amazing book, Lolita, nothing he says is to be trusted. It takes multiple rereads to figure out What The Heck Happened

it really sucks when you have to kind of defend yourself because you said you didn't like a book that is very popular. people need to calm down. not everyone is going to love a book that you love and not everyone is going to hate a book that you hate, it goes both ways! people tend to forget that. everyone needs to calm down and just read whatever they want and let you read whatever you want :) ok rant over.

Not a horror book and not a plotty book so may not be your cup of tea but we need to talk about Kevin has an unerialble narrator that handles the nature vs nurture question with regards to evil well and is told from the point of view of the mother of a seemingly sociopathic son.
