The thing with the grinder nuts is you don't need a spanner or any kind of wrench. Put em on hand tight, they will tighten some in use but I've never found one that I put on hand tight to be too tight to take off by hand.

Drill out the holes on the Milwaukee. This seems the easiest solution.

I was using that very same adjustable pin spanner on my Bosch 4 1/2" angle grinder yesterday - the arbour on that has two different sized pairs of holes, and the spanner fits one pair fine.

I have realized that I rarely need that spanner wrench to remove discs, so the three that I have in a drawer tend to stay there now. You can sometimes get different nuts with larger holes, rather than getting a different wrench. I did that for one of my oldest grinders, and got rid of the wrench which came with it.

Doc,those handles last now,I warrantees mine about twn times now,as soon as u put near ant solvents nowtoo they start breaking up and shredding too,and if drag those handles on rock or stone or rugged surfaces they shred too....there handles suck now too,but I found they have strongest shafts too...

I make custom knives and making some smaller prying tools is on my list of things to try. I have a small EDC type cut out in AEBL stainless I think will be fun

I’ve lost nearly every spanner with my grinders. For some reason it’s one tool I just can’t seem to keep track of. I’ve just take an to using a sturdy pair of needle nose pliers, ones that don’t twist when twisting.

I have a couple of the tiny pocket pry bars. A Matco and I don’t know what the other is but I feel like they are too small to be useful for my purpose anyway. I’d probably be happier with that Tekton or the Mayhew. Right now my tool is a .99 screwdriver with a bent tip but it’s a little long for what I need.

If you dont use a spanner to put your wheels on you don't need them to take em off. I haven't used a spanner in 22 years

Tekton nailed these pry bars as well as their picks. However, I returned their screwdrivers and kept the Williams Endurogrips. Oddly though, the Tekton stubbies are better than the Williams.

I never need a spanner for any grinder. Tighten it by griping the disk and turning. You should then be able to remove the cutting/grinding disk in the same way. (I’d remove the battery/unplug the tool first for safety)

That’s weird with that spanner. It looks just like the one from Harbor Freight, and that one works on my m18 quick stop grinder.

as long as the pin fits in, you just need to put one in, the other goes against the wheel's side , thats an old welder's trick

Once a certain percentage of manufacturing goes offshore, there becomes like a tipping point where other local manufacturers suffer because they can no longer locally source the materials they need to produce their products. This is a classic example of this, you want to produce USA made pocket pry bars, good luck finding locally made 1/4", 1/8" or 3/16" SQUARE bar stock. You can't at a reasonable cost. Square stock IS what u want for pry bars NOT round stock. I sadden's me that so much of the critical mass of USA manufacturing has been offshored that those who still remain cannot operate successfully. However in China you want some 3/16" square bar stock, you have a vast choice of suppliers with very competitive pricing. U think Tekton & Mayhew chose to use round stock?? They had no viable choice.

WILDE uses a ton of it, they don't make any pry bars this small yet ( they could make the best if they want to ) but they use the sizes of square stock we want for their screwdrivers, gasket scrapers, and their 8" handle pry bars. GRACE uses the same square stock for their screwdrivers ( the wood handle WILDE are rebranded GRACE ) too.

In over 20 some odd years I've e never used a wrench on a grinder. You can tighten it by hand and it's fine.
