I watched this incredible series from Day 1. For me the most wonderful and classic cast on any British TV drama series ever!!

Derek Fowlds (Bernard in Yes (Prime) Minister and yer one who played Ventris plus Claud Greengrass are the only ones mentioned that I actually remember. What happened to Nick Berry (sorry, don't know who played his wife) who is probably the character so many of us remember. I never really watched the show - no telly - but even I knew those characters, and I think there was a series of books (not the ''Constable'' series which I have as ebooks) set in the beginning with Nick's character because I'm certain I've read some of them from the library.

@@musicandbooklover-p2oNick’s first wife, Kate was played by Niamh ( pronounced Neeve ) Cusack, sister of Sorcha and Sinead ( who is married to Jeremy Irons ) they are the daughters of the late Cyril Cusack. Kate dies in Nicks arms early morning a few months after giving birth to their daughter from pneumonia on top of Leukaemia which she had developed during the latter stages of her pregnancy. Nick met Jo Weston a teacher 18 months after Kate’s death and married her, they emigrated to Canada along with baby Katie ( Nick named her after her mother) and became a Mountie. Jo was played by Juliette Gruber whom is apparently the niece of actor Walter Matthau.

Just A FANTASTIC SERIES SO SAD MANY OF THE ACTORS ARE SADLY NOT WITH US NOW. I was BROUGHT UP IN THE LATE 50'S IN A AREA VERY SIMILAR TO WHERE HART BEAT WAS FILMED. REALY WISH I COULD TURN THE CLOCKS BACK. IT WAS A MUCH BETTER WORLD/ COUNTRY. THANK YOU TO ALL THE STARS THAT PLAYED IN HART BEAT THAT BROUGHT BACK THE GOOD OLD DAYS .❤ ❤ ❤ .
