Jim Backus aka Mr.Magoo was a brilliant actor. Funny, yet always professional. All of the members of the ensemble were extremely talented and amazing people. This show was one of the best memories I have growing up. That and the Bugs Bunny/Road-Runner Show on Saturday mornings. So many memories of those iconic shows and how they had such an impact on our lives. RIP to all that have passed on. Thank you for allowing us to laugh with you, and enjoy your work. On the episode when the hunter was hunting Gillgan, that being an episode of the final season, maybe they could have saved that one for the final episode of the series, where he really did have them rescued, and made it a special 1 or 2 hour episode, where the castaways came back to a huge heartwarming welcome home party, instead of the hunter lying to them, only to hunt Gillgan instead, then go back on his word to rescue them. The series instead ended abruptly, leaving many to wonder if maybe they did get rescued and if they missed that episode.
@eloiseockert9233 Жыл бұрын

Yeah, that episode where the guy comes on the island wanting to hunt humans disturbed me as a kid, and who knows if that trigger phrase "hunting humans" didn't motivate James Huberty to do his thing in San Ysidro back in 1979 (or thereabouts). What normal writer would come up with this plot and what producer would put this out? Even as a kid, knowing full well that this was fiction, I was thinking about the implications of being stuck in that lawless situation and what strategies for survival I'd have to adopt. The overall direction of the show was positive in that they started out as strangers (almost rivals!) but ended up as the best of friends, and THAT would have been the best strategy for group dynamics in that situation, even society at large.
