WOW! Such a beautiful potted garden. Hope mine will fill in like yours. I only had a small collection (I didn't want it to look like an old ladies garden 😂). This summer I added more.

Thank you! I started small and slowly grew my collection over time. It is a lot to manage being this big, though!

Looking great Laurel. I hope you share your fall pot clean up. I’ve got a bunch of begonia and I’m curious how you store yours for winter.

Coleus starts really well in a small jar of water and they do well inside over winter. I take cuttings in autumn and put them all in a pot after they root in water and separate out into containers in spring.

I have overwintered coleus before, but I find my good intentions are bulldozed by the massive workload of fall cleanup nowadays. We'll see what I can do this year!

Mezoo over winters great and does make good houseplant. You can also take cuttings from it.

That is good to know, I have not tried overwintering mezoo before! Maybe I'll get some clearance ones and pot them up as houseplants to make it easier to move them in. I see them for about a dollar on clearance now. "Free" plants for next spring! 😊

Absolutely love your plants and color harmonizing! What type of potting soil do you use? Also what do you use for fertilizer? Thanks in advance.

Thank you! I use many types of soil and save it and re-use it from year to year. I have used Pro-Mix, Kellogg Organics, Proven Winners, Coast of Maine, and soils bagged and sold by local garden centers. It is worth the investment in quality soil, and I have found Pro-Mix to be the best value for the money. If any plants have insect or disease issues I dispose of that soil and do not save it. For fertilizer I can usually find large bags of Espoma Garden Tone or Plant Tone for a good price in spring. Plus I add worm castings at planting time. I fertilize weekly with water-soluble bloom or all-purpose mix. Currently I use Fertilome but I also purchase mixes packaged and sold at local garden centers. I fertilize with that once per week. 😊

Beautiful! Do you have any of the pots on drip?
@laurelrosegardens6454
@laurelrosegardens6454 4 ай бұрын
Thank you! No, I don't have any on drip. I move things around a lot during the season and I would have to have another line running from the spigot on the house across the concrete so I'm not motivated to figure that out. I just keep hand-watering though this year has been easier with the abundance of rain.

Last winter was the first time for me, but I just brought them in like houseplants in the fall. They dropped a lot of leaves but as soon as it got into the 50's on the porch I put them out there and they filled in nicely with the sun exposure. I haven't tried keeping them as bare root but I might give that a shot this year.

if all powerful benevolent god is the true creator of every thing not the satans ruling you human slaves then why would god want & need to create system of life where any thing new becomes old by default but any thing old never becomes new by default ?
