Late evening Music

Getting myself a looper was one of the best ideas I ever had. Especially a 2 track looper like the 22500 opened up so much possibilities to play around with ideas. These days I just like to get a simple idea going and then see were it leads me. It´s a good exercise to improvise, press record and then improvise again. It helped me a lot learning chord shapes and little licks, but I´m at the point where I have to be more intentional with the key I am playing in, just to avoid doing the same things over and over again. Since I own a looper, that shouldn´t be a hard task. Choosing a key I am not very familiar with and see what fits and what doesn´t.

I totally agree. Getting a looper changed my life! ha. hearing your parts looped back to you is so beneficial for growth and experimentation. Definitely opened my world up. How are you syncing the drums? Are they coming from reaper or are they synced via 22500? Great video!

Yeah, playing with a looper makes it so easy trying new things and learn what goes together well or not at all. For the drums, they're are programmed in Reaper afterwards. For example having a drum loop going inside Reaper with 110bpm, I just set the 22500 up to run at 110bpm too, than I record a blank layer. From there on everything stays perfectly in sync.
