Hey Chris amazing fishing just curious what trolling motor do you use ? I want to get started In tourneys for fun but realized trolling motor is a must have

Thank you. I should note that trolling motors are definitely not needed, and do not wait to try a tournament, they are alot of fun. I fished a club event this past weekend, and none of the top 5 anglers had motors. They are nice to have, but they do come at a cost (motor, wiring, battery, etc.). I would always recommend investing in good electronics or fishing gear before going with a motor. That said, the one in this video I built myself using a 45lbs minn kota endura trolling motor. I had to also build the variable speed controller. I have another video where I di a walkthrough of a similar setup I ad built for my Hobie Outback.

Hey CHRIS, just getting a Kayak fishing with my 10 year old son thinking of going out on Cook’s bay. What’s it like for kayaks? Looking up going next weekend what kind of fish is a this time of year?

When I fished Cooks Bay it was good, much later in the year though. Bass season is currently closed, but I think you can fish for perch or pike. Recommend checking the Ontario Fishing Regulations www.ontario.ca/document/ontario-fishing-regulations-summary
