I wish I could show you my Nepeda “ Walkers Low” , I planted it last year and it is enormous, i planted more of them around my property but this one got much bigger than the rest and is absolutely gorgeous, it is right next to a light pink peony that is in full bloom and it looks so beautiful right now. Thank you 🙏 for the tour , I enjoyed it very much
@Suburbanoasis3 жыл бұрын
Oh WOW! I bet it does look amazing. If you have room for the big ones the put on a show and then you can cut them back and they do it all over again. 🌿🤩

I just bought a few different varieties of catmint (and salvia - both of which were new to me; I’m a newbie gardener) and I’m so excited to see what it does this summer and next! I was also planning on positioning one near a pink peony and another by a deep pink rose :-) Good to hear it’s a winning combo 👌

Hi, I just found your enchanting podcast. I moved into a new home in central Texas last year, but love to see how gardeners across the Country deal with their soil and weather conditions. Is your garden in the coastal southeast? Possibly in the Carolinas or Florida? Which growing zone are you in? I am in 8b with clay soil. Wish you the best with your beautifully laid out garden!
@Suburbanoasis3 жыл бұрын
Hi Susan! Thanks for watching,I like sharing with others a out gardening as well and am enjoying this format for that reason. My garden is actually in Michigan in zone 5b with clay soil. I am growing some items that are tender in my zone such as the elephant ears and dahlias though so I can see how it might look like a warmer climate!! Good luck with your new garden and hope we can continue sharing our journeys.☺🌹

@Suburbanoasis3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Tammy! I am in Michigan so you guessed right! The brick has been discontinued unfortunately. There are some that are made that are similar, but I am sorry I cannot recall the name. You have to combine several colors to get the same effect... 😉🌹

Beautiful garden thank you for sharing. What kind of mulch do you use?
@Suburbanoasis3 жыл бұрын
I use forest brown mulch from a local company and then fill in gaps with any cheap brown bagged mulch the rest of the season as needed. ☺🌸

Wildlife garden means what exactly? We always just sprayed Dawn dish soap, don’t shoot me lol What can I do to avoid anything dangerous to my garden. My goat eats my weeds and all the overgrown vegetation.
@Suburbanoasis3 жыл бұрын
Its a certification that you can get as a wildlife habitat based on ha ing food and water sources and types of habitat and other things in your garden or yard. 🙂🐦
@blumerlredpilledgirl89583 жыл бұрын
I have all that how can i read up and get the certificate? I have so many birds, water source, feeders i just planted Borage to bring in the bees and I have flowers, fruit trees and vegetables.
