Late model IFS Tacomas take on the Rubicon 2016

Bay area metal fab took IFS Tacomas on the Rubicon trail for the first time. They killed it no damage and only one broken CV axle completing the trail in just under 13 hours from Loon to Tahoe trail head to trail head.

Looks like fun! Just did it this summer in my '15 4runner. They look a little soft around the edges but Toyota's still putting out some legit off road capable vehicles. With pretty minor mods you can have a comfortable daily driver that can also tackle some pretty difficult trails.

Love the Tacoma's. They all seem to have a long travel up front. What lift in the rear? OME Springs, All Pro, ect. and what shocks, the seem to have a lot of rear flex.

Bay Area Metal Fabrication that may be so but at the end of the day your spending triple the money to still end up with completely inferior strength, flex, trail stability and clearance. #1 reason I stopped wheeling Toyota's, it just doesn't cut it in Colorado. The rest of your vehicle ends up picking up the slack and putting extra stress on it, ending in damage that wouldn't otherwise be there if you had a solid front axle. Give me an old yota I'll rock it anytime, I'm bias towards capability not brand.
