And as I know Conan also always retire every bit and character from his writers who leave the show. Unless when the writer who left come back and make special appearance. My favorite bit, was when he would sing a song (with The Max Weinberg 7, backing him up) and he would re-word it, so as to avoid Copyright Infringement and Conan would act annoyed/disgusted, by the whole thing. He might have even thought it a bit cheesy

You kids and WikiBear. Don't get me wrong, it's good. But he's done even more iconic stuff. Check out The Interrupter, Artie Kendall the Singing Ghost, Hannigan the Traveling Salesman, and he wrote the "Andy's Little Sister" sketches that Amy Poehler did on Conan.

So very talented. IMHO, seems like he is not as free-ranging on Colbert. I love the silliness, sometimes twisted darkness, finagled permitted wrong-ness on Conan. I like Stephen, but c'mon. Conan is a great, like Adele is a great, like Chappelle is a great.

Back in the 60s & 70s I was in high school then at UW. I find it astonishing that these tv interviewers' hair, clothing and questions are so similar to those on the stations of fifty years past. Stack looks, IMHO, uncomfortable with being dragged back into the old days routine. Kind of explains the shift from the days of LaFollete, Nelson and Proxmire to the present lack luster reactionary present. Sad...
