Hello! According to lists of 1980s music in the Jazz/Funk style, searches on KZbin, tips and recommendations from various forums. Well, somehow the songs just find me on their own ^^

I would recommend searching youtube for a few channels named "Van Paugum" as well as "Pad Chennington" (Chad delves into the origins of music as well as being a great DJ and nice guy), and "El Famoso Demon", Wakuda Future, as well as a great one named "My Analog Journal". Another channel who delves into City Pop is Soul Search and Destroy. All have City Pop or music inspired by it on the channels as well as the other related genres like Lofi, Future Funk, even some Jazz Fusion and Downtempo is inspired by City Pop. As someone who has been listening to this music for at least a decade I can also highly highly recommend you find artists you like and then explore their back catalogs and related artists. One example would by Toshiki Kadomatsu as well as the king of city pop Tatsuro Yamashita. There are also many many fantatstic artists from Korea making city pop on channels like Ambition and Mindful Music. If you want an American artist similar to City Pop I would point you to Jim Lang here on youtube who made the great music for a nicktoon in the 90s named Hey Arnold. Great guy who makes wonderful memorable music.

@@nami7044 You are right I forgot it had been deleted. It is good you saved them as they were really something special. I remember finding them many years ago and thinkin wow this is great. Thank you Nami for all you do! BTW I am slowly getting Marmalade Boy done in my free time. Great anime suggestion from you. I just saw the episode where they confessed to each other so 24 or 25 I think.
