As someone who lived in Busan for 4 years. I’m so happy they are giving the city its recognition that it deserves. Not only is Busan a beautiful city but the people are the most warm hearted individuals you would ever meet. So happy that I graduated from PNU

Idk about the people being nice I’d think they’re very cold and distant nothing like you’d see in a small town and honestly I prefer Japan for culture and the city but for a chef, you’d definitely wanna choose Korea and starting out in Busan

The fact that they went to like 3 or 4 different places to eat is everynight life of korea. When I visited, I was so shocked how many places we went to so we can eat and drink. It's crazy how i've kept going thinking I was going to get full. But no, all the food was light enough to eat plenty and the alcohol is fairly low content to drink all night. Loved south korea and cant wait to go back some day.

2:06 'buchu' is Garlic chive 2:25 that is 'Soondae'. Basically kind of Sausage of Korea. there are a lot version of 'Soondae' and that one is mainly filled with Pork Blood, Dang-myeon (Strach noodle), Glutinous rice, and veggies in pork intestine which is the most common version you can find. (I love that one too but personally I recommend the version more ground pork in it. they looks whiter and meaty so you can see the difference easily. they often called 'Gogi Soondae' which means 'Meat Soondae') cheap factory made version of soondae on the streets are not very impressive but if you go to good 'DwaeJi-Gookbob' place like that one, most of them make their own Soondae and has nice warm taste 2:33 I've been there many times over 15 years, I like that place too. but not the richest pork of Seo-myeon area to be honest. 10:20 no one eats 'San NakJi' like that 'Old boy' savage shit, it looks like he was too excited to be on the video so had to do some crazy shit for it lol. when you order it to eat it raw it is usually chopped off into small bites and served in sesame oil, that's too dangerous to eat like that cus as the Nakji still alive they can stick to your throat. so don't try at home. thanks for the great video! I love their Vibes

My parents (now passed) both lived in Seoul. They emigrated to the United States in the late 50's (dad) and mom in the early 60's (first Canada then to the U.S.). While they lived most of their lives in America, they would try to return to Korea every so often. My dad would always tell me how he took the train to Busan and was amazed at the nightlife in the city. He would go drinking and eat. This is such a great episode as it brings up those memories of my parents and how proud they would be on how many great restaurants dot all of South Korea. All good while drinking!

my family is from Busan -- the memories! Thanks for showcasing, Munchies. I would correct the title to say "Busan, South Korea" addition, though. This is a very Busan-style experience, especially the pork and seafood focus.
