In Philippines, we do what we call "Tagay". Where everyone drinks from one glass or shot glass. That glass is passed from each person to person to drink. It's a way to make sure everyone gets their fair share and you trust each other enough to drink from that single glass. All while we have Pulutan (equivalent to spanish tapas) and served in small serving amounts to eat while drinking. Pulutan is a must in every drinking session and definitely a part of the drinking culture of PI.

What struck me the most in this video was her speaking about the neighborhood she was in, and how it would most likely no longer be there within 3-4 years due to the gov't expanding Seoul by creating new buildings. As someone slowly readjusting to the outside world in NYC post-pandemic (ish) with increasing gentrification, it breaks my heart to discover so many of the stores and restaurants I loved before are no longer with us. To you reading this, enjoy and support the places you love when you can. Please remember to not only cherish, but also relish your experiences. We truly do not realize what we have until it's gone.

@@michaelpark5681 Interesting question. I have asked you the same one on previous occasions, seeing you are so opinionated on her, but you never answered, so I will extend the same courtesy to you and leave it as a mystery. As for the concept of projecting, it came up in her last video in my comment section where I said the following. “Exegesis takes information from observable data and tries to formulate an accurate interpretation of reality, whereas eisegesis brings the observer’s interpretation to reality by adding meaning to it. A form of projecting, which explains religions existence, and why misinterpretation is so rampant in personal relationships. In quantum mechanics everything is described by a wave function. But a wave function is not observable it is only a device to determine probabilities. Eisegesis allows for thinking outside of the box, considering all possible meanings and makes life a little more interesting”.

Read Revelation in the Holy Bible all the prophecies are being fulfilled this is the apocalypse... Jesus is coming to rapture his true born again Holy Spirit filled Christian people repent and be ready.... Jesus is the only way to heaven and to escape from going to hell... Jesus died and rose again on the third day to pay for our sins... but we have to repent and become born again.... ask Jesus to forgive you for your sins and be your personal Lord and Savior.... Get baptized in Jesus name ask Jesus to fill you with his Holy Spirit and guide you everyday... Share Jesus with all some more souls can be saved from going to hell 🔥 🙏

@@YossephTeeth A friend of mine actually did some translating work on the oldest extant codex manuscript of the book of Revelation Papyrus 47 (designated by siglum 𝔓47). And I have in my library the authoritative works on textual criticism by Bruce Metzger, Kurt and Barbara Aland. So I am quite familiar with the Apocalypse. But have you ever entertained the concept of religion as being a projection of humanity’s inner longings and desires. If you are interested, then I recommend you start with the works of Robert N. Bellah, “Religion in Human Evolution: From the Palaeolithic to the Axial Age”. I appreciate your response.

Tina, you're really helping second generation (and up) Korean westerners around the world to understand their Korean roots better. So many Korean westerners have lost their understanding of their own culture after leaving Korea. After escaping during the war and immigrating to other countries for safety, refuge, or a new life. After leaving Korea to escape its extreme competitiveness or societal hardships. This is a really great video to help Korean diaspora around the world to understand their Korean roots again. :)

Quite fascinating your "drinking culture". I do like the fact that you're always pairing with food, that's what we also do in Italy, food is never missing really, together with drinks. Especially at the aperitivo (some cities have more food than others though), it's such an essential part of the culture, if you really want to go drinking that is. In other countries they just don't get it, to restaurant and pub owners: invest in small amounts of tiny food people can nibble on, and they will spend more in drinks! no brainer!!! If i had a bar or bistro i would definitely do that. Could be even a mini-bibimbap or a mini-gimbap now that i think about it. One key question for Tina though: Why do you have to go to the 3rd place with the hangover soup where you can instead drink a little "less" soju instead? that i cannot understand 😁😆😅 And also, i am getting to know more and more the Korean culture and trying to learn Hangul (not super easy). Why do you think there's such social pressure on the work side where you constantly have to hustle, working crazy hours, pulling all-nighters and squeezing yourself when you're young? Rather than not doing that and investing more time in your personal well-being? Does that come from the US culture of working like crazy all the time? From what i can observe, South Korea it's an extremely fast-culture where young people are constantly under pressure from the days they get to school, until when they get into work time... And then yes they have to go out and get pissed to forget it all, just to get back to the same routine the next day. 🤪 Don't want to sound super negative or anything, i am just curious if this is really all true, which is what we always see in the k-dramas, etc. Thanks to anybody that wants to share anything. 감사합니다
