Cupcake hints…use a larger size ‘cookie scoop’ to help make them the same size…cover your waiting batter with a sheet of plastic wrap and/or a kitchen towel so the batter stays the same consistency for each batch…don’t be afraid to take them out of the oven as soon as the toothpick comes out clean (even if the tops are still shiny) because they will continue to cook a bit as they rest in the pan (this goes for brownies too)…finally, add your sprinkles as you frost them and they will stick better for you. I love spending time with you! Thank you for opening your life to all of us!! 💕

What a lovely gift Lori; we love our Spurtles, they have so many uses. Becky, you may already know not to wash your wooden utensils in the dishwasher or allow them to soak for long periods of time. This will allow you to have years, even decades, of use. They also need to oiled every so often with either bamboo oil, grapeseed oil, avocado oil, or olive oil. I try to oil mine every 3 months or so. Thank you for such lovely and fun videos!

This sounds like a cake I used to make as a teen for church bake sales. A trick to make a lot of cupcakes is to bake a sheet cake. Then use a biscuit cutter to cut them out. Then lay them on a cooling rack and poor the icing over them. After they cool put them into cupcake liners, add a swirl of whipped cream or chocolate icing or my favorite chocolate whipped cream with a sprinkle of toffee bits.

One of the things I appreciate about your channel is the way that you role model how to not sweat the small stuff eg: the olive oil spill. Homemakers are pretty tightly wound and if the only work that you are doing is how to graciously and gracefully whistle through the hard stuff, (and it certainly isn't: you do much more than that), it's fantastic work.

Anything from scratch also doesn't have all those preservatives. Especially ones you can't pronounce. I like Josh's thinking. Extra cupcakes? You can freeze them for him. I bit the bullet; I ordered a freeze dryer. Instead of the rolls don't they have a "sheet" now that you could just cut into strips? Not cheating! Was left over from another purpose. Your mom was probably ecstatic having all the grandchildren in her home at 1x. It all came out great Becky! You should be proud of yourself.
