Hope you feel better Merryn. My son was taking out his bike from the truck, which fell on his head. He got one staple. The first day was super sore, the next day was better. Merryn, you were so brave!! Hugs!

She is such a trooper! In summer 2020 my back then 4 y/o was on our DR table bench esting, she fell and smacked her head on the baseboard heater. It looked like we could see her skull! So much blood too! Darn head wounds always bleed so bad. Only 1 parent allowed at the er so daddy went. She had to get 4 staples. Daddy said she was numbed good and she just jerked a little each time. She healed great but I guess when they were removed (daddy went again...she is a daddy's girl) and she did cry a few seconds for that but when she came in the door she was all smiles and went to play with her sisters after a big hug. She will live telling everyone her head injury story like my now 6 y/o still mentions from time to time.

Ugh! I remember those days when little kids play and get impulsive and jump around on everything. They fall in and off stuff. Luckily we had steri strips to close the face wounds my kids got from time to time. Staples wow! She’s brave.

When my daughter was 4 she ran into our room, tripped over our other daughter and hit her head on a plastic LAUNDRY BASKET. she split it right between her eyes and told her we had to go to the dr to get her a new forehead. Lol. Ended up at the ER and did not flinch when they numbed her or did the stitches. Was singing the entire time. Lol. Two days later my oldest fell off the couch and busted her lip and I thought I was going to have to take her to get stitches. I thought “lord if I take her in they are going to call CPS on me thinking I hurt my kids!” Lol. I don’t know how kids are so resilient and such troopers in times like this! Glad she is okay and pray she will be back to her normal playful self in no time!!

It's actually perfectly fine to go to sleep after a head injury as long as they are acting normal in terms of walking/talking and their pupils look good

The staples do just feel like a little pinch. Probably fastest for her. My little one busted her forehead and we had it covered with nonstick guaze but she waited like 3 hours for them to stitch it. Also they didn't tell us to go vback and get them taken out because they were dissolvable. So now poor thing has a "railroad" track scar smack on her forehead.

I think y'all handled it amazing. I had to rush my now 11 year old to the hospital last summer she fell off a horse and was knocked out. She was holding her arm perfectly still and I kind of thought it was broke at first. She was fine but when it's your baby it's scary.

I’ve cracked my head open twice all it needed was that special head glue then I went home but some hospitals or head cute might be more serious

It’s not all thy special, it’s just medical grade super glue. They use it a lot for simple lacerations and facial lacs because of the lessened scarring, but it’s used in a lot of places

My son had to get staples in the front of his head he feel in lil rocks this poor baby they put his arms behind him in a pillow case the help him stay still I lived it but after that I was told lil kids they will always put staples because it's faster for the young kids my son they had to clean it out and take rocks out of it lil ones and all the dirt then I think 2 staples that was it

I for got he didn't even cry when it happened he looked at me and said mommy u have a booboo lol I said no baby u do sand still the only time he cried was the pillow case holding him down and then when we let him up he stopped we think he's claustrophobic from a dentist appointment when he was younger and it's a whole long story the dentist were horrible to him and I will never go back

I love the fact you were so sensitive with your content today.
