I’m a retired teacher, and at our school, which was elementary, we did give a pass to late comers 5he first few days. In high school, with schedule changes, kids not knowing where to go, I’m sure everything was ok. Ryan always has such a good attitude. Just love all your three kiddos.

i’m so happy ryan had a good day besides being a tad late but it will definitely be something to look back at and laugh along with! I had to transfer high schools for my junior/senior year because my first high school closed and i’m glad that ryan is having an easier time than me and my friends did and it seems that you are all thriving in florida! i always love the vlogs but these past few with the whole family together has been extra special to watch 💗💗

This brings back a memory of mine. We moved to NC from NY State. Already nervous I walked into a new middle school, 8th grade, late due to the bus driver getting lost! That already didn’t make me Feel good about this. What a first day of a new middle school walking into class that was half over. Not knowing anyone. So I get it! Plus my name is Ryan. Maybe it’s a Ryan thing? But it all was good after the fact. Good luck!

12:39 AWWW! See everything happens for a reason. I served in the Special Forces, we actually had training how to sleep anywhere, under any conditions for deployment, so we could sleep when we could, on a ship, in a chopper, so on. Since then I don't need an alarm, I just tell myself to wake up in an hour, or 4 AM and I snap awake fully alert 5 minutes before.

I’m from the UK and have no clue about the US schooling system I’d love for you to go more into depth on the high school and college system as the differences interest me so much ! I’ve actually applied to study at Florida state for a year abroad so that would be extremely helpful!!

FYI you don’t need your ringer on for your alarm to go off! I sleep with my ringer off and the volume all the way down and my alarm always goes off. You can set your alarm volume somewhere in settings.

So ,this was great ,saw Donnelly house a mess ,which is real life.😎 Ryan late to school ,but helped another newby to class .also in the mad rush he forgets lunch, so he gets to experience hot lunch in new school cafeteria. As, a new student I think they have some grace time worked in there I m sure kids were late because of locker opening issues .😎 go cat! 😊 hope Ryan had a better second day!😎

LOL. 5:30 One of my many occupations is actor / stunt performer, my calls are usually for 6 AM for makeup costume Yadda Yadda, which means up at 4 AM to make it to location all over the countryside, Craft has hot breakfast waiting if you are on time, Into makeup to be ready for ................... full stop. Now sit for three hours waiting to be called to set. Off to a new school year living on Donnelly time.😂👍

When I was leaving for my study abroad for a year we had a last minute panic. My mother had everything planned down to the minute but the best laid plans go wrong. We discovered five minutes before I was due to leave for the airport that the handle on one of my suitcases (I had two and a backpack) was completely broken. Fortunately my family has a large collection of suitcases most of which no one lays a particular claim to so my mother sent me to collect one while she started frantically unpacking the case and then insisted on folding everything because I'm a messy packer and had thrown everything in then she decided that the case I brought down was too old and heavy so she sent my sister who had just come back from six months of working abroad to run up and unpack her own suitcase so I could take that one instead. We did eventually make it out the door and I made my flight absolutely fine as we lived close to the airport and my family hate to be late for anything so allow plenty of time for everything and as a consequence of my mum packing my suitcase everything was way neater so it ended up being a bonus.

Students at my husband's high school don't start school until 8:30am. He has to be at the school by 7:30am. The elementary schools in my area start at 7:30am. Please note I am not married to high schooler but a high school teacher.
