Why don't you put the fig in a large pot I know they handle a restricted root area well.

It was initially in a pot so I said the same thing but it is quite huge I might try to strike some cuttings instead

What root blocker did you use?

It was a garden root barrier, black plastic that comes in a roll. I think typically used around trees. I’d definitely put a drainage layer next time as it didn’t drain well with all the rain in Feb
