I’m an older guy and not really able to get out in the dirt anymore. Give me the campfires, chopping wood, van upgrades etc. Some of us are living vicariously through people like you. We miss getting dirty!

I definitely enjoy the vlog-style that brings us along for the ride and chats casually with us, but it's nice to see occasional integrated cinematic moments when time/inspiration allows. A drone shot here or there which shows us where you are. Maybe sometimes a nice shot of cooking or the campfire, without necessarily needing to see every detail of the evening or morning routine. I look forward to whatever comes out of this trip. Have fun!

I used to do some wedding photography and figured out that I could either be part of the action or be a photographer of the action, but it was VERY difficult to do both. When my children got married, other people did all the photography and video work. Maybe on your trip, you could set aside some days for photo/video focus but also reserve some days to focus on being part of the experience. Hope you have a great trip.

As much as I love the Van Camping Channel, I would love to see the trip more of a VLOG Style that's a quicker pace in filming. But a cinematic style trip would be cool too, but either way I would watch either one. It was this channel (Primal Outdoors) that got me into Van camping & Filming for KZbin. You are an inspiration Jason! I look forward to your up coming trip! Cheers!

I just appreciate your's and other's hard work putting these videos together. I have done it, or at least attempted, and it is a lot of work. Myself, I often go out camping with every intention of documenting and filming. Then get to enjoying the serenity and peace of the experience, I get lost in the moment, often intenionally, and 'work' takes a back seat to pure enjoyment. Either a mission failure or success, depending on your outlook.

I really like and am inspired by your cinematography... so I tend to really enjoy the B-roll shots of the beauty of your surroundings. It makes it feel like we're right there with you. That being said... I know how much "production stops" can detract from a journey... and how much it can distract yoy from being in and enjoying the moment. I know this comment is probably not helpful to you at all, but I think you gotta go with what your heart tells you.... myself and your other loyal viewers will be here to enjoy what you produce no matter what.

I enjoy the run and gun style of the primal outdoors channel best. I like when you put a small video or picture of a road sign in your videos of where your at in general. A couple years ago you put just enough hints in a video when you were lent the jeep gladiator that i figured out where it was. Iron point was probably the best trip of your's that I've went on. Hey Jason myself personally would like to see the VLOG side because you capture all the elements anyway that you would use on the other channel and the VLOG is more realistic and relevant to those of us who enjoy the outdoors as it is. Don't get me wrong I do like and enjoy the other channel as well and can see the work and talent that you put into it. Down time is necessary and I can't wait to see the upcoming trip video. Keep up the great work and be careful out there and thank you for what you do.
