Great to come and see this incredible garden,, and not only the dahlias but all the other plants as the 'supporting acts' were amazing as well. Just breathtaking, well done Geoff and Heather, much appreciated. X

When I was small my Dad took me,to the Dr and he parked the car next to a garden that was behind a tall hedge. He had to lift me up to see all the amazing dinnerplate dahlias. When we came back to the car the man whose garden it was thought it was funny that I wanted to see his garden which was amazing. He let us in and I walked all around and when it was time to go he cut off a bloom which ai took home and kept in a glass of water and now I have my own garden with dahlias too(ha but not as amazing as yours!) 💚💚💚

I love watching your "height of the garden" tours. You do amazing work! We've been lucky in the northeast of the US, as we haven't suffered the droughts like much of our country, and other countries, and the dahlias are doing well here. Looking forward to your fall video too.

Hi Geoff, Beautiful dahlias! I've been growing dahlias in my shrub borders for the past 2 years and they've over-wintered here well in the South East UK. But how many years do you think I can leave them in the ground before the plant production starts to deteriorate and I have to lift and divide them?

Hi Laurel To be honest I don’t know the answer to your question because I’ve never tried, but I do know that if you leave them in too long the crown of the tuber gets so dense that new shoots can’t get through the tangled mess. I once had to get a hammer and chisel to split a tuber someone gave me!

My dahlia looks great....its in a pot tho...is that why it never bloomed?
@Dahliaholic2 жыл бұрын
If you grow dahlias in pots you need to feed them regularly, and give them plenty of water and light.

Perhaps you could name that new pink seedling at the end "Queen Elizabeth" Geoff.
