It’s garden tour time! Historically for me, I struggle big time with my garden in the Summer months. Ive incorporated some new practices to make those summer months in the garden more bearable. Now I’m so looking forward to the Fall garden!
Our homestead is based out of Florida, we value no dig and no till practices (deep mulching), while incorporating raised beds and permaculture values 💚

If you are having trouble finding coffee seeds/beans to plant I would suggest calling up coffee roasters. I know that there's a nice one in Buena Vista Colorado that has been known to sell a bag of unroasted green coffee beans, though you may have to buy a bag of them (bag size is the same as the bagged coffee in stores, like 1lb or whatever). It's run by Buena Vista's past mayor and his wife (a little mom and pop type shop), and is some really good coffee. They also have many different types of beans you can choose from.

Wow thanks for the suggestion! I’ll definitely look into that. Never thought of calling an actual local coffee roaster.

I know people also regularly eat the green small luffas'. My garden is so sad looking right now compared to yours, we are in survival mode around here. Fall planting starts in 2 months sooooo looking forward to getting there lol

I’ve heard this too. I’m about to start my seeds for fall planting myself! Fall is one of my favorite times to garden!

Just found your channel and I love a fellow Florida gardener. You said you are zone 9. So around up by Jacksonville or Panhandle? I’m probably a little warmer than you cause I’m in central Florida.

Nice video, again. I’m in Indiana, my neighbor has a banana tree he started in his greenhouse and brings it outside for summer, then back inside (somehow). Will you have fruits on your banana tree?

He must be growing it in a nice pot or a dwarf variety. From what I’ve read, they take about 15-18 months to product fruit. So I’m likely looking at sometime next spring or Summer, fingers crossed!! 🤞🏻thanks for watching!

I wish to make a small suggestion wgich not only is my personal experience but scientifically proved as well. Whenever you're out in your Garden, ALWAYS be totally barefoot because our soles love and deserve that freedom. They love to feel various textures of soil between their toes. Apart from n it's very healthy to be barefoot outside. Take for example two plants, one grown inside a pot and tge other grown in Nature. However much you water and use fertilizer, it never looks as healthy as the latter. This is simply because the roots have a limited space to stread and the Nurishment too is the same. The soles of our feet are like the roots of a tree. When you're not barefoot that natural process is obstructed. Our soles are designs to absorb things which are essential to lead a healthy lifestyle. However, use of footwear deprives this process. Apart from that there are a large number of Sensors / Nerve endings on the soles of our feet, which connects from head to toe. When we walk on Sand, Gravel and Tiny Stones /Pebbles,our entire body gets stimulated through these sensors. Once again Footwear deprives this natural process. So, go barefoot always for good health and happy feet and soles

I love the sound of that! However, we have quite a few stinging nettles in our garden and yard as well as many huge ant piles that often bite me through my shoes. So unfortunately our terrain is just too rough to do this. Maybe one day I can get the yard to a place where that’s possible! Thanks for watching!
