I’ve made same mistake with my last car. And I opted back to mufflers on it. I’ve been looking into the valve tronic setup for my s6 too. Something about the 4.0t sound iconic compared to raspy bmw. I could get down on AMG they sound nice too. I’ll be keeping tabs if you get that exhaust! GL with your school hopefully finals went smootht

Willing to bet the bulb isnt out but it is the earth connection to the light unit that is flagging in the cold. You can fix that by wiring in a new earth from the light unit to the car's rear earth terminal. It sounds amazing.

its an old myth that you need to "warm up" your car. With modern cars you really dont need more than 10-30 seconds before starting to drive it. If anything, warming up your car causes more problems in the long term. If you need your windows defrosted then its a different story. Otherwise, get in, start it, put on your seatbelt, put on your music and go. Keep it at the lower RPMs while the engine temperature is going up.

I agree, the M5's exhaust has more of a refined tone compared to the gutteral sound most people associate with a V8. Reason? M5 uses cross-flow manifold into the turbos. M550i sounds much better in my opinion, as it has a normal manifold setup.
