Late to the start leads to a photo finish in the RS600

Ended up taking too long to get my mast up (tangled shrouds) so was a few minutes late to the start. You can see the next start (2 minutes after mine) begins just after I go through the line (the ILCAs). Big beat up to the tower followed by a run and a broad reach. The long beat and biased run gave me a good advantage to catch up to the other RS600 and get them on the line!
The other 600 is good so made it hard to catch up!

Just in case anyone's thinking the boat in front must have been rubbish I'd like to point out that the helm is/was about 40yrs older than Will and could see daylight through parts of his sail. Also think hull might be 20 years older than Will's.

I also had clear air for a lot of the time which helped. If it was a bit windier, I wouldn’t have caught up! (Btw this was 728 🤣)
