When are you guys going to start making hatch area replacement panels? I love this paint system, but I’d pay for some replacements

Awesome idea and I love LMR for always trying to better things. Keep an ear out for customers When I was researching those Preval sprayers I found a lot of negative reviews at different retailers online.

No problem at all Carol, we do take these recommendations from customers to heart and we address these areas accordingly. Please let us know if you have any questions and we will be happy to help you out. lmr.com/contact

Used this kit and the paint dries slightly shinier than the aerosol spray paint. I personally prefer the spray can because it dried more evenly and the gloss was definitely closer to the original gloss.
@dennis171162 жыл бұрын
I wasted almost $400.00 on this system. Paint system leaks and spills also the black I sprayed was slightly shinier than the spray can. Buy the spray cans!!! They spray smoother and don’t leak all over. Landed up respraying everything with spray cans for an even and more stock look. Make sure you scuff everything properly and use a plastic adhesion promoter.

That's really nice .... for the owners that need black or gray . But what about guys like me that have an 82 mustang GT.5.0 THAT HAS RED INSIDE IT. Will there ever be a solution for us?

We are still currently working on new color options at this time and we will be releasing these ASAP. Please keep your eye out on the site.

I want to change my interior plastics from red to black. Would this paint work? Or could you recommend a primer or undercoat that would be compatible with these paints?
@latemodelrestoration5 жыл бұрын
As long as the surfaces are prepped correctly, the use of a primer would not be needed.

What about a desert tan or what is the difference between the desert tan and sand beige if any???
@latemodelrestoration Жыл бұрын
I've never personally seen desert tan and sand beige side by side to give an accurate answer. Based on the information that is available to us, desert tan is darker than sand beige. You can either respray everything sand beige or try and have a custom color mixed by a local paint shop. -Landan

What are the differences between the two blacks. I'm changing colors and don't know what black I would want
@latemodelrestoration5 жыл бұрын
79-89 and 90-93 ran a specific black on each of these breakdowns. Most people usually go with the 90-93 options due to its blueish hue. The 79-89 has a slightly lighter tone.

The flexing agent allows you to use on interior plastics and vinyl components.
@latemodelrestoration5 жыл бұрын
We do not advise using this one seats though, any large surface that takes this much abuse can possibly rub or fade over time. Other vinyl area's in your car will be perfectly fine such as a door panel.

for a new edge i can’t find any black interior, word is they no longer make certain pieces. parts on ebay are ridiculous, anyway what color would more or less match the black a new edge has?
@latemodelrestoration4 жыл бұрын
Hi Michael, while the new edge may appear to be black, it's actually a very very dark charcoal. There was a shade for 99-00 and a shade for 01-04 for hard plastics, but thinks like upholstery and carpet were the same for 99-04. What particular pieces are you looking for?

Neither of those components are reproduced new at this time, unfortunately. Your best bet will be to source them from a donor car.

@latemodelrestoration5 жыл бұрын
Yes it will, a good rule of thumb is 1 pint = 5 traditional rattle cans or approximately 60 sq/ft coverage. 2 pints = 10 traditional rattle cans or approximately 120 sq/ft coverage.

No need for “adhesion promoters “?
@latemodelrestoration5 жыл бұрын
dominionn09 you do not need to add any adhesion promoter to get the paint to adhere to the material that you are painting. Cleaning the part is still required but no added sprays or wipe on promoters are needed.
