Mustang Mach 1 Chin Spoiler Install (99-04 SVE)

There is not a gap on each side on the OEM Mach 1's chin spoiler as stated here in the video. My Mach still had the OEM chin spoiler when I bought it and It was flush on each side and sat back about .125" to .25" from the front lip. When I bought the LMR chin, I had to drill new holes to get the chin spoiler to sit flush with the front lip AND each side. The LMR is very close and I've had mine on since 2013. It's better than American Muscle's because the texture matches the OEM chin better than any other aftermarket piece I've seen.

The push in screw clip are practically worthless considering the head is too shallow for any Phillips head. And the size of bit needed for drilling would have been good info. Also probably would have been a better video if this was done on a GT or V6.

fond out that this spoiler retro fits a foxbody very nicely i just ordered one last night !

This spoiler also fits 93-97 Ford Probes, just need to trim of some excess material on the ends

the factory chin spoiler doesn't sit all the way back because the chin spoiler was not made to sit flush with front bumper. look at the mach 1 and youll see that the chin spoiler sits back underneath the bumper

I like the spoiler. You should let people know that the fasteners you send with it are complete trash so they can buy quality fasteners somewhere else!

Idk if Id be comfortable using push pins on cheap plastic. Could I use bolts, nuts and lock washers?

Bowlofarthritus You can use any kind of hardware you like. The push pins are the same ones used on the 03-04 Mach 1

If you use bolts, nuts and lock washers you are going to have a lot of fun trying to keep the head of the bolt or from spinning since there is no room to fit a screwdriver to hold it in place. You might pull it off with an apex bit and a narrow nose vise grips but it will be a royal pain in the butt. I'm saying this because I am dealing with this issue right now and after watching this video I am going to autozone to see if I can find some push pins.

mine doesn't look like that. I ordered the mach 1 kit and they folded it in half in the box. mine came in all warped and ugly looking. I ordered it from lmr. the pony emblem is loose with no way to tighten it up. just rattles.

byron varnado hairdryer straightens it out. Most companies send them out like that. I straightened mine out no problem.

No only 99-04 Mustang GT, V6, Bullitt or Mach 1. You could possible make it work with some modifications but we have never attempted this.

This is designed to fit 1999-2004 Mustangs. We haven't tested this on any other vehicle. -Landan
