As someone new to laten this has been very insightful, I think I use latch too much compared to you and save tail riding and little bites for smaller dinos, I’ll have to try being more aggressive on the ground-great vid! Also seeing that do have me flashbacks to when mine was mobbed by a laten pack x,D painful times

I dont know why deinon has 1 leg slot while he is weaker than laten, i mean deinon is weaker so it should have more abilities to use to outplay the enemy and only 1 slot is enough for laten since its more powerfull and why did laten even get the %20 pounce buff like whats the purpose of playing the deinon now while there is laten

There is 0 point playing a deinon. It’s just a free to play crappier version of the Laten. Thats the only “benefit” it has :(

That’s not completely true yes it’s bad at pvp especially solo but as a dino itself it’s pretty good and fun at times like annoying people it’s just that struthi is a problem for it the same for struthi problem for laten too

Laten was already fairly good now it’s better and it got like the least nerfs from its tlc like the struthi which is nice but I wouldn’t want to be at the other end of a sweaty laten player

As someone who really likes playing lat, how do you deal with ailos and Struthis, every time I’ve found one I’ve ether died or had to flee, is there a why to fight them or am I just dead if I find one?

Against alios you can’t really outrun them Just spam tail fan and jump to keep a bit of distance. Then look for either a rock to jump on Cliffs to jump around or off (alio takes like double the fall damage laten does) A little cave to hide in

Last I checked it was 55? Which just takes too much setup for me to wanna use it If it is 66, that’s definitely better than reg bite though

Tested 5 bites on reg and strikes with a friend. Bite still does more damage on the ground but about the same amount as strikes pounced

The thing is, you need 5 bites to bring rs to max damage while reg. bite does 35 dam. with each of those 5 bites. If the whole fight is limited to the first 5 bites, than of course reg. bite will be the better choice. But I doubt that laten will kill a lot of things with 5 bites. The next thing is that the raptor strike stacks last for … 30 s iirc … that gives a lot more time to keep the max stack going. (btw I am no native english speaker, in case of wrong grammar or something 🤓)

Yes but it boils down to skill, that Eo clearly had no idea how to defend vs a Laten. Anything can kill an apex solo given enough time and skill, Toxics videos don’t represent the skill of the average player but of someone who has a clear in depth understanding of the playables so in the hands of someone who truly understands the strengths and weaknesses of each playable and when to find openings even a solo baby Deinon could kill an adult Eo if it was skilful and lucky

​@@Stitch2316 I call b.s I have been on the receiving end and the only way to defend yourself from tail riding is back to the wall and that shouldn't be a thing. Turn radius isnt fast enough to do anything. Skill means nothing if you dont have the means to apply it. No tail attack only a stomp that you can see winding up 30 minutes ahead of time. E.o needs a back attack or a turn radius buff.
