Beautiful plugs!! Really enjoyed the video! Thank your for taking the time to share your work. I thought that frog in the first half of the video was never going to be quite. :-D Great to see your baits back in action, Hope they find their mark soon!!

sgtpavlov Thanks a lot , I've already used some of them extensively , but pike are still reluctant so far , ......blame it on the weird weather .

I hear you about the weather. I'm hoping it well be a mild summer where I am, so these fish I like to catch called crappies, will continue to bite good and be found close to shore like they do in the spring for when they spawn. Last year I had a few trips at a lake I go to often, where I was catching lots of crappies in predictable areas in the summer. Usually they disappear and Go deeper when summer hits. But when a nice cool day comes around you may find them with out too much effort.

sgtpavlov Our problem here is weather too cold for the season , also too stormy for the season(stirs up ponds constantly preventing them from warming up) and also unstable temps ,......could differ 5° to 7° Celsius from one day to the next ! Worst springtime in years , I'd say , ...not only for anglers . If your local crappies go deep , would a bottom sinker set-up work ? Maybe get yourself a European Feeder rod , these cast chumming baskets of several ounces very well and far , .....the interchangeable , sensitive tips do detect the slightest nibble . Or try socalled Winklepicker rods , these work the same way with their soft , detecting tips , but cast about only one ounce of a lead sinker , no chumming baskets , ....these rods are shorter and a lot more affordable compared to the 12 to 14 feet Feeder rods . After my experiences such rods have almost always proven superiority over any other float ,- bobber , or other bottom sinker set-ups , when fishing or Carp , Tench , Roach and Bream over here . It's just all about the sensitive bite detection ands the chum always laying close to the baited hook . Greetz , Dieter

sgtpavlov I'm the other way round ,.......never even thought about using such light gear , ....but last fall I have used a light 8 foot spinning rod sporting 1/4 lure weight on one or two occassions (more to come for sure) , .....tried Texas ,- and Carolina rigs for perch in the Hamburg City canals , but did not succeed so far . That was most entertaining, all my lures are sinkers, it was nice to see top swimming lures, have you done any pike imitations? they seem to be the latest thing.

Chalkbalone Thanks a lot , .....I have a few pike-colored lures, but I barely use them, do not have confidence for some reason . Though it is always written , that such lures would be particulary successful right after spawning season in early spring . The larger female pike tend to bite and eat their smaller lovers after sex(what a horrible Imagination , LOL) , this is the reason for the attraction of such lures during that particular time of year . Territorial struggles might also be a cause for pike to attack such lures , ......guess , I should really tie them on more often ? Greetings , Dieter PS : I much prefer floating wobblers , as theye have the ability to pop off underwater obstacles , ....might still get these to dive something as 20 feet deep , if desired .

Nice lures! The water is warm here, the catfish are active. You should make a perch video.
