70% sure Kaprizov re-signs with the Wild. They can give him a $95-110 million contract next year. It's just whether he has always wanted to try playing in a big market or not. I'm obviously not an elite athlete, but I can't imagine turning down that kind of money in a sport where health isn't guaranteed, and he'd have to sign for 7 years instead of 8.

The Wings should make a trade for Liljegren. Maybe trade Maatta. He'd be a good depth option for the Leafs. Detroit is light on the RHD position. He might need a change of scenery.

Flyers have quite a but of 2nd/3rd pairing dmen and Torts has spoken highly of Risto this preaseason and mentioned how much the team needs him, so doubtful the team would look to move Risto anytime soon, and if so doubtful they would move him in a deal for another 2nd/3rd pairing dman. I would think if they move Risto if would be sometime in 2025 and maybe for a 2nd or in a package

Honestly even though Shesterkin is one of the best, no goalie right now is worth over 11 million. Adin Hill has more cups than Shesterkin. You could sign a goalie to 3 million and they lock in and help you get the cup.

​@@Wheelofthyme1010It's not that ridiculous considering 11 million a year is less of a cap percentage hit than when Carey price signed his contract 6 years ago. Shesterkin is one of the top goalies and is no longer an RFA. Teams always pay more for UFA years. So yeah he should be making the same percentage as goalies like bobrovsky, vasilevsky and price.

@@collynbertin3260 in my opinion, yeah I guess he should’ve taken the 11 million because I don’t think any team is paying him 12.5 million(including New York) unless they have like 30 million in cap space, therefore they’d probably be a bad team. I’d rather take 11 and play for one of the best in the league than risk taking the same or less with a worse team.
