Either Lincoln Riley broke OU or BV did, but whoever you want to blame, OU is a bad football team and only made it to a bowl game because they play cupcakes at the beginning of the season. Face it, Sooners. OU is no longer a football power. Maybe women's softball is the main sport at OU now.

Wouldn’t be happening if it was the dumpster fire some “fans” keep saying. Any defensive player wants to play for and be coached by Brent Venables. End of. BV is going nowhere for quite awhile. And he will get the offense back on track as well starting with Arbuckle and Mateer. Hawkins still has a future as a Sooner but still rough around the edges. Hopefully an actual QB coach can get him up to speed.

Every program guy and now league guy is honest in that Coach V either made them a better player by coaching them or his defense tormented them. So glad you're back home Mr. V! I certainly prayed he'd return as our DC and was told he was here, moved to Clemson and usually they go to new programs. This man returned as DC and is now HC...Love me some BV! Hard for me to judge the offense due to all the injuries and the offensive line. Next year should be much better and if OU can win a bowl game Venables will save his job. I like the energy he's brought but he needs to find a way to bring it all together.

Let’s be honest about things instead of all this false positivity. Brent’s a good guy but he has made several bad decisions hiring multiple coordinators. That’s probably the most important part of a head coaches job and he can’t keep failing with coordinators. It appears Jo Jon and Murray both need to be gone but I don’t think Brent has what it takes to make the changes. Brent will have at least one more year to prove me wrong and I hope he does.

From the outside it looks like Venables ruined OU football. The Sooners are close to the bottom of the SEC, a complete embarrassing failure in its initial year in the SEC. It must kill sooner fans to see this. I feel bad for Venables, with his wife being ill and his team on life support. Hook'em!

I think we need to move Kanak to Will backer. They keep using him at Mike, to call all of the defensive adjustments, but it isn't clicking. If we move him to Will, he has less responsibilities and can just be an athlete on the field. Obviously he would be second string, behind Kip Lewis, but I think he would play better at that position.
