Forgot to add in social media taking over. But defense wasn’t ever a big area of concern💯
@robbymartin4004Күн бұрын
Back in the day, we expected good defense, it wasn’t an issue, and wasn’t talked about as much, because we were good. Now it’s all I think about when we’re talking Sooners! I love it though, because I’ve always been a defense first kinda guy👍💯
@awethinic8379Күн бұрын
I guess it’s triple hard to have both good offense and defense. But a good defense helps your offense. Every score one stops is one less score the offense has to match. The goal is to win. Not score 50. Barry could do both. The king!
@JB-dy9blКүн бұрын
I love great defenses! I remember those days well. Glad BV came back home because those great defensive days left when he did. I expect he's bringing the top 5-10 defenses back with him.

But you should have a concern with what some schools have a concern with is the infringement on their product Texas A&M I think was promised they would only school affiliated with the SEC in the state of Texas now Texas come in. I’m sure South Carolina wants to be the only school in that state affiliated with the SEC. They don’t want Clemson to come in to water down their product.The same can be said about the University of Florida. They don’t want Florida State or Miami to come in and water down their product. They all want to be exclusive maybe Oklahoma would think the same way exclusive why would they want Oklahoma State to come in and water down their product?
@awethinic8379Күн бұрын
Like everything, nothing is static.Lose agreements stood but its not the same now. The vote is the vote. Other factors are in play. FSU and clemson going to the b 12 also strengthens them and weakens the sec. Those two in the playoffs takes away seeds from the sec. The super conference and NIL will change everything good or bad.
@elvangulley3210Күн бұрын
Florida and South Carolina will do the same thing aggie did. Sit down and shut up. Sure they will be given time to pout. But at the end of the day they will do what's best for the sec like all other programs in the sec do. Fsu clemson and miami already recruit better than Florida and South Carolina already.

WR room is way too stacked imo, so the best chance at breakout freshman on offense has to be Tatum. there still isn't an established RB, and the primary guys set to get carries have had a bunch of durability issues. kind of a perfect storm for him to get some touches this year it seems like.

As an old football fan let me tell ya who the Traditional Blue Bloods are..at one time Nebraska was surely was one But theyve been so bad so long I have to say they've Lost that status!!..and there's only 7 total..Fl st and Clemson are NOT blue Bloods, never have been..the 7 Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas, Michigan, Ohio st, USC, Notre Dame..Period Next level down would be teams like Penn st, LSU, Georgia, FL st, Clemson, Auburn, Miami, Florida, Washington, Tennessee, oregon and a handful more, then the level below that, Texas tech, Arkansas, ucla, South Carolina, Pitt, VA tech and a handful more then everyone else..

I understand the hype around the team. I'm excited, but we lost to Kansas and our little sister last year by 5 missed FG. has that problem solved?

I definitely agree with that. Kid is a freak. I might be a little biased with home grown talent, but he’ll see a lot of time as a freshman. That whole D-line class will see the field, it’s going to be a special class, for sure💯

Size without ability to handle the size is not good for OU. Our coaches can handle development, but everybody knows that many 5*s can't handle the pressure. So wait and see before you guess.

One thing people need to consider about the weight gains by our DL and everyone being concerned we don’t have more than 300 that we do t necessarily want guys just putting on weight and not being able to play as fast as they can being as productive that they can. So managing these guys weight has more to do with just getting them as big as they can. We want them being able to operate to their maximum abilities. The weights look good and the difference between 300 bs 295 isn’t that big of a gap and with proper technique that 5lbs shouldn’t be that big of a deal. PJ was a freshman and your critiquing him like he had more time playing. Not sure what you expected Jay from the kid but it was always going to take him a little time developing regardless of his ranking and his potential. Some people with these expectations for our young guys just isn’t realistic. Of course he was spinning last year. He hadn’t played a down of college football and he had a lot to learn. He was t some polished plug and play freshman and there aren’t really any of those around the country. You guys give him time and ultimately I’m sure he will get it figured out and end up being the player he was projected to be. Just limit the expectations and let the kid grow and let’s not act like he is underperforming. As a freshman he played a lot and that says plenty. How many other freshman got the snaps that he did on the line?
