For those who are anti union here. You do realize that unions within reason defend the middle class that is so important for small business and our economy? Without unions, we would likely also have few if any of the workers rights we now enjoy. Europeans get it. They support their unions and dont gut their middle class. It really helps their small businesses and to stabilize the economy. Just my opinion.

I have one of those super mail boxes and I only empty it about once every 3 weeks. Almost everything of significance is emailed to me. I did have to put a note in it requesting no junk mail since 95% of what I received was junk mail and it would quickly fill. A weekly delivery is more than enough for me.

@@kyoatbites7865 not true by far. I can go pay $20 and a box gets shipped anywhere in Canada within a few days. Post Office is close by, workers are friendly and efficient. Purolator, FedEx and UPS is a painful process with no offices in my area, have to schedule a pickup which is inconvenient for me and when I do get a package from them, it’s tossed on the porch or there is their handling fee owing, all for the convenient price of more than what Canada Post charges.

A domestic stamp is $1.13, which adds $30 to the cost of Christmas cards. They have no bargaining position, if they get more money, postage costs will go up yet more. I am sending e-greetings this year, and possibly permanently. All we get in the mail is flyers. I bank online, pay bills online, my government cheques are electronic.
