Sadly, Pham has a lot of haters, as we can see in the comments here. Hell, they even blame HIM for getting stabbed. HE is the one who got stabbed and still the story is "what a bad guy" lol. Once people are convinced somebody is bad, it's impossible to convince them otherwise--only they can fix the glitch in their brain.

Pham is a thug and a distractor. I remember he wanted to beat up Kim and Voit, he got a lick in on Peterson on national tv. and was fined and suspended. Anger issues for sure.

good update ........Merrill had two rocket outs in the first game and did well in game two. Pham wants his money is what is going on. Padres dont want to pay him as this is probably his last hurrah. so he's trying to max the deal.

If it's 3-4M they need to sign Pham already. Having Profar and Azocar as your #3 and #4 outfielders is a joke, Merril and tatis both have injury history and need more depth. We could easily see a Merrill, Azocar, Profar outfield which would probably be the worst OF in the majors. Pham gets way more hate than he deserves, from inside the clubhouse guys have had good things to say about Pham, he is just a hard ass.

Pham has publicly stated that he doesn't like San Diego and he doesn't like San Diego fans. Like others have said, there is a reason why he bounces from team to team. The guys talented, I got nothing against him, but don't put him somewhere he doesn't want to be.

as good a reason as any why the Padres haven't signed Tommy Pham is that there might not be any room on the current Acitve Roster. Just checking the current Active Roster published on the Padres website, The Padres are carrying 4 OF, 7 IF but besides the 4 in the field Manny is the DH. So, who are you going drop off the Active Roster if you sign Tommy Pham? One of the INF? One of the pitchers?

Sign Pham, send Pauley back to AA to get regular ABs. Keep Wade on as reserve IF. Profar as 4th OF and backup 1B. Pham can DH when manny goes back to 3b. It’s a no brainer move.

I don’t like Tommy Pham. We need a DH like JD Martinez but he already signed with the Mets. Pham will be like another Grisham. You can’t count to be consistent in his bat production. This is my point.

What will this DH be doing while Manny is at DH due to injury? Also Pham has been consistent his entire career besides the years he was a padre but he was also dealing with a lot of injuries and eye problems
