Very interesting video, I've always wanted a Tram, but ... Maybe someday 😂.

I've got too much stuff right now, rafters are overflowing, big house is bulging. CB is not my only big hobby anymore. I will have a fire sale soon. Untested, as-is stuff is going to go cheap.

I still have my Tram Titan 2A, and Titan 4. And Tram D201A And D201'a. You can't beat those Tram's!

I agree with that.

I have an Olson Electronics base station that is double sideband. They are some of the earliest of sideband CB radios.

I recall DSB on ch16 NYC/ Long Island area '70s. Those rigs were impossible to ignore and I suspect that was what some people liked about them
@tramdr21 күн бұрын
and the Regency Range Gain and Imperial had DSB for sideband and DSBRC, Double sideband Reduced Carrier, for AM. Locally, DSBRC will often sound weird and fuzzy, but it's the stuff in the distance and DX.

Great history. I've got a TR-27C coming my way. Already 4 days behind the delivery date USPS! Hopefully it arrives in good condition.

USPS has been awful for me too, even before the Holiday season. I then started doing a lot of Fedex and they dropped the ball with me too. So far, no recent UPS horror stories.

Back in the day of the Sony Trinitron the saying was “it’s a Sony no baloney”. Thanks Doc.

way back in the day, early 80's when I was in the service and in Germany and was into (and still am) home audio, we called Sony when it comes to audio, phony Sony.

Hey Tramdr, you're learning, haha. 27E my favorite 😂

I had heard about them, but it took me a very long time to get a nice one for a decent price.

Tram Doc I enjoy all you info about the old school radios and amps. I need your help with a Browing Mark 2 with the banana Mike. Will you help please?
@tramdr21 күн бұрын
I can try. First thing, if tx audio is a problem, the Mic element in those old Banana mics are known to be a big problem.

Newby 27E is an early version. Note spot and xtal label under powder green meter. (Careful wiping meter, paint likes to come off) Have fun Tramdr.

I noticed it but did not know the differences. I once had and sold a Tram Titan 2 that was a little different like that. It went for good money on Ebay back when I actually sold on Ebay. It was a regular bid auction. One guy emailed me and said that it was sad that I was ripping people off with that 'modded' non factory radio. At the same time, the buyer emailed me and thanked me for selling him this rare early version, LOL. Some people.

I've been a ham for 41 years but CB is still in my shack. I started CB in 1973, got busted by the FCC in 1975 and Dad was not happy with me! Do you get all of your old classic CB radios off of Ebay? I am shocked at what the prices are on Ebay for old CB's. I do have a Browning Golden Eagle Mark III. I need to get it up and running again I noticed the skip is back on 11 meters.
