Hello! It wasn’t a named storm becusse it had surface fronts! It would be a extratropical cyclone and they don’t name those sadly.

They have just named it hurricane Kirk, everyone seems to have a different answer to this system, some say it will be named, some say it won't, some say this, some say that. One thing we can all agree on though, is that everyone has eyes on this potentially historic UK storm

Issac is already in the Atlantic since last week, and the future large and powerful hurricane this week which has actually been named as of Monday is Kirk heading towards the Azores and Europe down the road.

The one I am tracking is currently coded as 12L and is meant to make landfall in the UK on Thursday next week, there is another few hurricanes which are also very powerful which may be what you are referring too, but I just checked the tracking and it is still coded 12L with 169mph winds

@@stormclearer Yesterday it was dubbed 12L. Today I read on the NHC’s T.W.O. that the storm is now Kirk. I’m by the way is from the US.

I'm from the UK, on Ventusky it still says 12L, sorry for any confusion, it's now just had a forecast change and is now at 70mph, it's changing every hour quite drastically which is irritating when trying to predict what warnings need to be issued

@@stormclearer I see. I am interested in it given its high expectations, but it won’t matter that much to me since I live in the USA.

@@brandondunn4562 yeah, I am quite excited, if the jet stream does shift, it will push out the high pressure, which means it's a more direct line to the UK and then it won't weaken as much, plus then it will cross the very strong jet stream and spin crazy, then it is expected to stall over the UK bringing rainfall totals nearing a metre and very strong winds for days, it will be interesting but I can not be sure of it's impacts for another week, although I was spot on with forecasting storm Eunice, Isha and Ciaraen, plus dozens of other storms, but those were the big ones, 135mph, 139mph and 145mph
