Pittman should have been fired after the Missouri debacle LAST YEAR! Fans wanted him to get another year. Well, he got it....and here we are. Not much has changed. He's still as uninspiring as ever. It's not personal....it's about the future of the program. If we ever expect to grow, we need new leadership.

I've been done since he only won 6 regular season games 3 years ago. He's done nothing but made our football program an embarassment. He can't recruit, he can't motivate a team, he can't fix an O-Line, he can't prepare a QB or a backup QB, players regress under Pittman.

We've seen enough of Pittman to know how inconsistent his teams have been and will be. Keep him and the gang another year, we'll probably finish with a 7-5 record next year at best. Is that what will make fans happy? After 5 years, I have no faith in Pittman suddenly putting things together and having a competitive season. As far as Trey Biddy's comments...unless Yurachek himself is pulling Trey aside and whispering secret info in his ear, Trey is simply dealing in rumors that may or may not turn out to be true. For the good of the program, Pittman needs to be gone after December. It shouldn't take more embarrassing losses to make this happen. We have been embarrassed enough already. My prediction is that Pittman will retire at the end of the season "because" of the hip surgery, and saved from being fired. A new coach will be hired almost immediately, because calls have already been made. Yurachek knows how to play the game, and don't be surprised when he shows his ace-in-the-hole HC hire when it's time.

I think Sam is a good man, but I'm so unhappy as a fan. We've been a dumpster fire since Bobby parked his Harley in the hedges. I went to the Texas game and stayed til the end. That's the last game I'm going to until something changes. I didn't talk to a single person at the tailgate this weekend that felt differently about CSP.

My largest issue isn't talent or style or anything. We just play sloppy football. We don't protect the ball. We don't make the easy plays. We make things so hard on ourselves. If our turnovers were cut in half, we would be 7-3 right now.

We aren't where we expected to be by this point in the Pittman era. If you watch, good programs don't keep their coaches around unless they produce fairly quickly. They must show significant improvement by 3 years. These are definitely "Sam's players".

Fans not wanting Sam Pittman is not weeks. It's years. I've been done. AR admin are losers. They stay with the wrong person too long. The longer they keep him around, the longer it's gonna take to rebuild under a new coach who can do better and greater than this. What has he honestly done in 5 yrs in recruiting? His 1st yrs is 12-11 - winning record. OK, we can build off that. Last 3 years, 16-19. Are we trending up on down? Is this the direction we want?

I do not care and I think Sam has checked out. He is not a winner. The offense with Taylen Green is terrible. We are number two, in the nation, in fumbles. Personally, I think he retires at the end of the year. CSP is not having fun, he's just collecting a paycheck.

I really can’t deal with the Pittman defenders. For god’s sake, when will they have had enough? They act like they’re expecting to beat Missouri in 10 days and a 7-win season is a foregone conclusion. Face it, Sam peaked in year 2. It’s been 5 years. When will enough be enough? Florida Atlantic fired Tom Herman before he even got to two years. We are a major conference program with a bunch of loser self-deprecating fans who are single handedly dragging this program down. If 4-7 wins is as good as it gets, then why is Sam making $6 million a year? If we can’t keep up with the Joneses, then why has the salary between Bielema, Morris and Pittman steadily increased well above the inflation rate each year? Let me explain something - 8 years ago when people didn’t want to fire Bielema because of the buyout…you can get that amount, even adjusted for inflation is significantly less than the margin between Sam’s annual salary and Bielema’s annual salary, again, adjusted for inflation.

I will say I disagree simply because it is SMU and they generally have not won anything yet, coupled alongside being a private/more academically focused school, lack of success as a program historically, and having to compete with all of the other high major Texas programs for recruits. While they are in the ACC, they were essentially added as a leftover, not unlike Houston, Cincy and UCF in the Big 12. Then there is the fact that they are located in Dallas, where pro-sports will always reign supreme. Cignetti would be good but that’s even less likely to happen now that he just signed a massive contract extension last week.

Keep or fire him, it doesn't matter. Without a massive inflow of NIL money we're not getting any better. Saban couldn't get above 8 wins with as little NIL money pushed into this football program. As for why Bud Walton is half empty I submit 2 reasons. Even in the golden years under Nolan games before Christmas there were semi sparse crowds at times. The main reason there's so many empty seats is that corporations are being catered to buy large quantities of the near court seats. Half the time they don't send people to the arenas to fill those seats (unless it's a big game of course). That's why your (Curtis Wilekerson) basketball content is being gobbled up. The average fan has been marginalized and has been priced out of being able to attend. So what's the fix? I've said it before and I'll say it again, if the ticket has been scanned in within the first 30 minutes of a game those seats need to become available for anyone in a standby line at half price. Then the University can essentially double dip on seats, fill the arena and sell more concessions. The UofA wins and the average fan wins by having accessible pricing. A true win win, which means the UofA won't do it as it's too forward thinking.

Oh I feel like I’m about to get flamed, but I think we should keep Pittman for at least one more year. I understand that people are upset that this year isn’t better. But was this not a “reconstruction” year for our offense following Dan Enos? We had to completely rebuild our offense to a Petrino style. We see the progress that is there!! Does this not remind anyone of how 2008 went? Hell we have a good shot to do better than 2008 (which we should for a year five program) but I feel like this is a good crew with Pittman, T. Will, and Petrino and I can’t wait to see how this program develops next year!

I agree . Alot of people and tv shows was saying at the beginning of the season that we will go 3-9 or 4-8 . Alot of these fans was saying the same thing. We 5-5 and should win 6 coming up and maybe 7. Now so many of these fans and KZbin channels mad because we haven't won 8 games. Sam exceeded expectation according to preseason. I personally don't want Sam as head coach but we winning more games this year and I can't wait to see what Bobby P can do for us in year 2.
