I've been telling people that _Andor_ is awesome "even though it doesn't have any space battles" and damned if they don't deliver one of the most badass space battles in Star Wars history in this episode! I had to watch it again to experience the bad-assery of it. And due to the expert handling of characters in this show, even Bee's reaction to Marva's death brought a tear to my eye. Wow. This show continues to amaze me every week.

Bee is on a level like Wall-E. He's a "cute" droid with a quirky personality and with everything that happens, you can't help but feel for the little guy. "I d-don't want to be alone. I w-want Maarva." He's like a little kid who can't come to terms with a close loved-one's passing. "I've never seen such devotion in a droid before." But now, we all have.

1:00 and it’s the opposite for Cassian, he’s come from nothing and his walls are getting wider and wider and wider the more he’s embroiled in things, the more planets his visits, the people he meets, his trappings are gone now his Mom has passed away, there’s nothing restricting him anymore. His universe is only getting bigger for better or for worse. Whereas Mon Mothma starts in a position of power with wealth and status and her walls like you say, are getting smaller and smaller and she’s more and more trapped.

I'm convinced now that Luthen is a former Jedi. The hallway shot from last episode with his robes, his calmness in every tense situation, and those side lasers looked and behaved like kyber crystal powered light sabers. What is his sacrifice? EVERYTHING! Including the Jedi code, perhaps?

While I am totally down for badass/calm characters that aren't necessarily Jedi, it might also make you wonder where he got the kyber he gave to Cassian and if that had a particular significance to him.

"I'm forced to use the tools of my enemy" could mean the tools of the Sith. I do not think his "enemy" is the empire but actually Sideous himself. Luthen is acting like a Sith, lies, disguise hiding in plain sight, playing both sides, multiple layers of backup plans, sacrificing pawns.

20:58 We'll definitely see Bail when they are the Rebel alliance, and that's where we are headed. At the moment they are a bunch of rebel cells that have taken an oath, and they're all on shaky ground. It looks like Luthen is the one that brings them all together, and since we don't see him in Rogue One, it's probably safe to assume that he dies, and maybe his death is what brings them together and starts the Rebel Alliance minus Saw. For whatever reason, he never joins them. I guess he showed us why in this episode--he's not one to take orders and he needs to fight on his own terms. What an episode! I love this era of Star Wars so much. Everything about this is clicking! I'm sad that we only have 13 stories left of it ='( I hope we get more stories like this in future. I like the Mandalorian and the spin offs, but I want more stories that are as deep as this. Every actor in this series, big and small, comes with their A-game every episode! That's not the case with the other series =/

This show is great because it's delivering something new , so I'm sure we won't the Mon Mothma or Bail Organa scenes you mentioned: They already exist in other forms. I still hoping to see Stormtroopers being terrifying. In ANH Obi Wan says "only Imperial Stormtroopers are so precise" and put an end to the memes and jokes! Maybe episode 12 will end with the 'Ferrix Massacre' and Andor being the sole survivor yet again.

Awesome reaction as always. After this episode, I'm certain that Luthen is a Jedi Sentinel. I know, no longer canon but they brought Thrawn back. He fits the profile so perfectly and it would explain the artifacts in his store. If his lightsaber is yellow.... Sentinel.

Luthen's interaction with the Imperial spaceship is one of the coolest things I have ever seen in Star Wars. I had to re-watch it several times. This show continues to amaze me every week. And yes, it would make sense that Luthen is not revealing everything to us just yet. I though for sure he was going to be killed in this episode. So glad he wasn't, but there's still one more episode to go. I'm both ecstatic and nervous about how this season is going to end.

The sound on Luthen's laser turret, those are not random laser turrent, the sound is definitely "louder" than the usual. We might be on a semi turbolaser caliber here.

The Narkinians said that the Empire's prison spoiled their water 💧. Those particular prison facilities were industrial factories 🏭. It figures that anywhere the Empire does mining (most especially *_strip mining_* 😰), or has some kind of factory 🏭 🤔, there's a huge chance that there would be devastating consequences for the planet and all who dwell there 🥺😣😔.

Ferrix will be the focus of the last episode, I'm sure. Saving Bix would be a great goal for the Ferrix resistance. But they need diversion... like a fake funeral? Although Bix wanted to tell Cassian that Maarva is sick, so that can't be 100% fake. The funeral however can be a ploy, only Cinta reported it (not part of local group) and a random civilian told it to Cassian. It would make sense to cause some disturbance there (bombing or sg.), then while the Imps occupied hitting their HQ (ex Hotel) to free prisoners and bomb it. Cassian didn't told anything to his partner, he won't risk his life too, only his own, he will definately try to sneak to the funeral (fake or not, he just hear there is one). Cassian will do something for the rebels there risking his life. Not to save himself but someone else. This will convince Cinta, Vic and Luthen not to kill him. I needed a second viewing to realise Luthen wasn't speakng about artifact deal. He was telling coded that he is concerned about Cassian. His assistant told him there is nothing else they can do (They sent Cinta and Vel is on the way too) she has plans for the failure (evacuate shop? etc.) but told answered: that's not true. there is always something more to do. ie. He will personally go to Ferrix too. Currently all 3 sees Cassian as a threat. I also didn't realised exactly first scene with B2EMO. Now I think as they were talking about Maarva's death and what should happen with the droid he was having an emotional breakdown, shaking, and the fliud shown was a close up of the tea inside the cup, shaking on his head. The space fight scene sequence was also very clever: first he sent false Alderaan trade ship ID, but prepared for the boarding. When he knew the imperials aren't backup off he set his thrusters to full, forcing the imperials to strenghten their tractor beam to maximum (from 2 to 5), while charging his counter measures. Those charged needed things didn't needed much speed to be fired, since the now super strong tractor beam sucked them in with huge speed. (this is why he used his thrusters early, he needed a strong tractor beam for his counter measure). Also his ship had cool things, but 50% was the piloting. He aimed and shot down the Tie bomber and a Tie Fighter, then he maneuvered his ship so that the last two Tie Fighters will be in front of him, their optimal approach was toward him, not soo far apart, and finished them with his side laser thingy. Someone mentioned it can be a mining laser, but i have never seen limited lenghts powerful laser, except the light sabres, using kyber crystals. This piloting skill, all kind of spycraft knowledge i don't think comes from a simple wealthy person, nor even Jedi. I cannot rule out he learned all later, but not likely. He most likely was spy or counter intelligence officer for any planet/government/military at his early years. (maybe part of Internal Security Bureau which become ISB 14 years ago) I don't think his walking stick is a lightsabre. There are plenty of vibro swords, training swords, shocking blades that are effective melee weapons. And good walking sticks. About Mon Mothma: Don't forget at the Ghorman massacre she will make an open speech against the Emperor and flee. She won't just play her senator role and stay no matter what. Her own consciousness is super important choosing her path of resisting, rebelling. I have no doubt she would flee from Coruscant with her family instead of sacrificing her daughter AGAINST HER DAUGHTER'S WILL. But if and only if the daughter volunteers, respects the ancient Chandrilan custom, then and only then she will do it. Also to be correct the offer wasn't a marriage, only a chance for Davo's boy to meet the girl. And 400k is nothing for them (the way of manipulating the transaction is important), such chance of such meeting well worth it for Davo Sculdum. I would think if the kids like each other he would even offer way more support and donations for a marriage. I suspect they will not resolve many things in this season. For example I can see a short 15 seconds scene showing Mon Mothma, window, garden, in which her daughter and a young boy walks and talks. That's it. Maybe the girl even reaches out for the boy hand. So far we saw SAW only as: he is a lonely wolf, stubborn, chaotic, etc. (portrayed masterfully) however: It would be an AMAZING scene Imps ambushing Anto Kreegyr and his men, Lt. Dedra might show up there not at Ferrix, all is lost... until: X-wings jumps in, arrive from hyperspace, swoop down, fire the imps from the air, land, and save a couple of rebels and even Saw himself yells at Kreegyr while shooting from his opened X-wing's cockpit: "Come on, hurry up you OX!". Saw is chaotic, unpredictable, so might decide to spit into the Empire's face taking HUGE risk. Portraying his bravery. And as they leave swarm of Tie fighters come, the X-wings quickly pass through, shoot a few, loose some, and they jumps away. WHOOOOOOOOOOOOSSH And what if Dedra looses her rank because of this? They blame her. Falling from high into the dust (to Syril Karn level....) Syril Karn will have important role too. For example he hears Luthen talking, and realise: Axis, the big fish who told Andor (who was holding a gun at his head) "Kill him. If you won't I will". Will he confront him? Or just follow him at the last scene? Makes a photo? Or throws a tracking bug on his ship? I'm sure this character will have some importance. Maybe finds Lt Dedra and tells her Axis is here. Finally showing her goddess his worth. Wonder if Cassian sister shows up at all? Even for a short scene? Or maybe part of Kreegyr's group already a rebel? Love the show, left my score at imdb and rotten tomatoes again. Support this wonderful, masterwork serie!

Bail Organa never got around to openly declaring his support for the Rebels. In ANH, Leia was still working for him, and without mentioning him by name, told Vader as much. And in Rogue One, Bail explicitly sends for Leia to be a part of the attack group at Scarif. So if he'd showed his hand before then, none of it would've played out that way. But, in ANH, Alderaan is destroyed by the Death Star quite soon after she's captured. They immediately jump to Alderaan to use it as blackmail against her to see if she'll give up the Rebel base. Which, true to Luthen's style, she doesn't. Even when Tarkin pulls the switch and gives the order to fire anyway, in those precious moments between the order and the actual firing, she doesn't give up the Rebel base. She lets her homeworld be blown to bits, billions killed, her family erased from the cosmos. All to protect the Rebels. In any case, Bail never reveals himself...he never gets the chance. And Mon Mothma probably doesn't do so until after the dissolution of the Imperial Senate in ANH. Once the Senate is gone, there's no real reason for her to play along anymore. She'd have just yanked every single credit all at once, turned it over to the rebellion, and flipped the middle finger to the Empire. Until then, though, she'll keep hiding in plain sight.

Mon Motha actually goes public before ANH. It is shown in the Rebels animated series. She is about to be arrested, is rescued and then broadcasts a speech in which she exposes a majore Empire massacre of civilians.

Those creatures who caught Andor in those nets reminded me of Unkar Plutt. I gotta admit, for the episode right before the finale, I did expect more action. I started thinking that if they wanted to, they could probably do a spin-off using any of those other prisoners who hopefully also escaped from the prison and unlike Cassian, they could have lived through the original trilogy and beyond. I wonder if we will ever see Cassian read Nemik's Manifesto. I wonder if Nemik may have put a note in there specifically for Cassian to read.

I've heard from several people both online and in person that they are waiting for all episodes to drop before watching so that they can binge the whole season, so that may be one reason why the numbers don't match the awesomeness of this show. I hope the numbers for next week reflect this and I also hope we get to see what the heck they were making in the prison!

It probably still is BBY5. The first six episodes spanned about 1.5 weeks. Cassian was arrested a few weeks after Aldhani and was in the prison 1-2 months.
