It's fun and interesting to watch non-D&D/CR fans 'reacting' to this show because it helps the rest of us see how this show is perceived from the outside looking in. I think the one negative I've picked up is there are a lot of easter eggs and 'in-jokes' that don't land for non-CR fans, like the "Tusk Love" erotica in Gilmore's Glorious Goods (it's canon) and Grog's "I would like to RAGE!" moment. If you haven't watched Episode 3 yet, you're in for a treat. It's a delicious slow-burn of tension.

Which is why I love that it was used for exactly that. (Copper, Gold, are great, however Silver is actually the best conductor by far. Platinum is poor in comparison, but more stable chemicaly. Platinum is a great receptacal melting other metals. Since its melting point is 1770 Celcius. But Tungsten is the best at 3400 Celcius. Well, I don't run my game like that - I have my players fill out a safety and consent sheet beforehand and tailor my DMing to each party's specific needs/wants. The majority of my current players request for no gratuitous violence (as much as I want to go full Matt Mercer!), and as a sex-repulsed ace I don't get too *specific* with NPC descriptions.

The gold isn't semi-conductive, gold is one of the best conductors in the world. They also checked the temperature of a lightning strike, and the melting point of gold, and that's the reason everything starts to glow and melt in the cave during the fight. In a D&D boss fight there can be so called 'Lair Actions' in the home of a powerful enemy. Where the environment itself is hazardous. This is an excellent visualization of that game mechanic. The party doesn't only have to deal with the mofukin dragon, but the electrical surges throughout the gold piles, and the melted heated metal as well.

FYI, in the lore of Tal'dorei, dragons can transform into a humanoid form. This is not common knowledge to the general public. Usually they can only transform into a single form but there are a few exceptions in the lore history of Tal'dorei.

For the uninitiated, it's a romance novel that shows up in campaign 2. Here's a montage about it from the stream: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHeam5iMbs6boLM For some background, Travis, who plays the half-orc Fjord, and Laura, who plays Jester, are married IRL. Travis is not interested in roleplaying romance. Oh, and the characters on the book cover at Gilmore's strongly resemble Fjord and Jester.

11:38 - *“Paycheck! … What the fuuck!”* It's just like opening a "lootbox" in a computer game: They hype you up for it, based on what it _might potentially_ contain, but when you finally open one, it's always some worthless "sprays" and _one_ part of a 10-piece alternate costume for a character you don't play. The second that they offered "All this will be yours" as a reward in episode 1, and showed nothing but a fancy _box_ without actually giving the slightest information about what's in it, my internal gamer brain was screaming, "No! Don't fall for the lootbox scam!" That being said, the party actually loved having their home in Emon, which they named Greyskull Keep, after Castle Grayskull - which is the reason why the name doesn't get spoken in this show. They wanted to keep it fully creator-owned and not entangle it with any licensed IPs. That's also why the D&D spell _Bigby's Hand_ became _Scanlan's Hand,_ Vecna is always called "The Whispered One", Sarenrae (from _Pathfinder)_ is called "The Everlight", and so on.

We are in for a load of a great time with this show. They hint at two major arcs that happen later in Campaign 1. The "Chroma Conclave" and "The Whispered One". Both are just bonkers. We know we are getting a second season so I assume they will be leading with the Chroma Conclave and dive into another characters backstory. If we are lucky we could get a full season per character and have some bigger plots unravel through-out. One I am super excited for is delving into Grog's story. He has three major plots so I wonder which they might go with... his family, his search for inner strength, or his new found weapon.
