Dooku and Obi-Wan do meet in Episode II for the first time. Remember Dooku says " It's a great pity that our paths have never crossed before, Obi-Wan. Qui-Gon always spoke very highly of you".
@thegreyinitiate36802 жыл бұрын
I love that the final straw to push Dooku over the edge was the death of Qui Gon. A death that could have been prevented if the Jedi had only listened to him from the beginning…. Dave Filoni. Corey Burton. Bryce Dallas Howard. Kevin Kiner. And of course, Liam Neeson and Ian Mcdiarmid…… everyone absolutely killed it with this. 👏👏👏

Totally agree and I think this episode adds a bit more emotion to his encounter with Obi Wan an Anakin that we didnt get in the prequels. Watching this I wonder what he must have felt facing his Qui Gon's own apprentice. Did he maybe have resentment towards Obi for not saving Qui Gon?

I really love the blatant symbolism of Sidious recoiling from the light when Yaddle makes her final stand in the door. He’s evil incarnate and he can’t stand the display of powerful light.

Before that in the temple, yaddle walks in the direction of the window while dooku walks into the dark.

Agreed. Glad Yaddle got to stick it to him, if only for a moment.

What you’re saying doesn’t make sense considering he’s always out in the light.

Palps is the Senate, which makes the situation with Dooku even more tragic, as he is simply a pawn.

Yessss I knew you'd love this one. And that Vanessa would cry just like I did. Yaddle holding up the door and the light finding Dooku while blinding Palps was such beautiful symbolism. Now I'm sad all over again :(

The light and dark symmetry and symbolism was on point in this episode

This was probably the best episode in season 1.

I love that Yaddle got her own "Force Theme Moment". She, Qui-Gon, and Dooku were probably the only three Jedi who could've hindered or even stopped Sidious. They were the only ones aware that the Council and the Order itself were heading down a dangerous path. Had they worked together from the beginning, things might have been different.

At the point of Dooku and Yaddel fight Palppy had become the Supreme Chancellor after this fight he leaves for Naboo as well to be at the funeral.

I've listened to the plagueis novel a million times it is one of the best I know it's now legends but I still consider it Canon it makes phantom menace freaking amazing

I still love the Darth Plagueis novel, but I actually prefer Dooku having been an agent of Darth Sidious long before Qui-Gon’s death as shown here in canon, as opposed to in the novel where he only properly joined up with Sidious some time after Qui-Gon’s death.

I love to think about an alternate reality where dooku chose ahsokas path. Leaving on his terms travelling the galaxy as a legendary peacemaker and gentleman.

Looks like the true Phantom Menace was Dooku all along; erasing files, working with Sidious and then killing Yaddle - if only she fell backwards Though Obi Wan would've saved Qui-Gon from Maul but he was cut off by the big red laser doors
@TheGreater-ScopeVillain2 жыл бұрын
The One True Phantom Menace is still Sidious, since he was the one who ordered Dooku to do all those things.

Dooku’s fall was slow but he saw how the corrupt the senate was becoming so it made him question a lot of things
@liamphibia2 жыл бұрын
Can you really blame Dooku? This guy not only lost all faith, but a Padawan who we can safely assume was like a son to him. Dooku has already become one of my favorite characters.

If U look close, you can see Dooku's eyes turn a little yellow before killing Master Yaddle

My favorite episode of this series and you had it perfect at "That's some good shit!"
You know the Jedi council is in shambles if Yaddle voluntarily stepped down. These shorts kinda put the nail in the coffin for me on the arrogance and stupidity of the council. So much could have been avoided.

what I don't understand is if Dooku was still in the order during the Phantom menace how come Dooku never met Obi Wan during the years he was Qui Gon's padawan? Doesn't make sense. I thought Dooku left the order after Qui Gon became a master.
@voiceofraisin37782 жыл бұрын
If hes already distant from the order and only comes back rarely it might be that he stayed around for Qui-Gon becoming a master but not for his first Padawan, once Qui-Gon is dead he then has 10 years when he doesnt appear in the Temple.
