I think freckles, stretch marks, tattoos, bruises, birthmarks and scars are probably the coolest thing, you started with almost a blank canvas and look at you now, all these evidence that you’ve lived and the sun has shown you and you’ve grown and maybe tripped up a few times and liked an image so much you made it a permanent part of you, beautiful. Read this somewhere, and I really really love this. (Like so that this reaches more people, if Lilly you can pin it so that would be great too)

Yes we need to talk about how being obese is unhealthy and unattractive
@mirnavidovic1567
@mirnavidovic1567 3 жыл бұрын
@@awrjkf First of all,you shouldn't state what is or isn't attractive based on your internal beauty standards like they are objective, and second, Being "obese" ain't the same thing as plus-size and as Lilly explained,body shape and size has nothing to do with health... Sure,when you look at a plus-size and a "skinny" person you would assume that the skinny person is "healthier" but that could likely not be true because our bodies react differently to our lifestyles... That plus-size person could be healthier and more fit,while the "skinny" person could have a bad diet,eat unhealthy and not really work out... Also,sometimes it's hard to lose/gain weight based on many factors... There's our DNA,some people could have permanent health issues like diabetes,insulin resistency,problems with kidneys etc. which makes it difficuilt to fit in the mold of what society describes as "healthy and attractive" Others have similar issues which I know because I have epilepsy and I gained a lot of weight while in the hospital and then more upon my release when they gave me my prescription and those medications don't really allow me to lose much weight... I was about average before I got diagnosed,but now I'm plus-size which kinda wrecked my confidence,but I still lead a healthy life; I eat healthy,excersize a lot,ride my bike anytime I get,play handball... People who are plus-size are aware of that,don't you think? They are self-aware already,especially those who have said health issues, and comments from people like you really don't make it better. Never judge a book by it's cover cause you never know what a person is going through...
@xxfree-forevloverxx9325
@xxfree-forevloverxx9325 2 жыл бұрын
@@mirnavidovic1567 yeah you can't know if someone skinny is healthy or not, but you sure can look at an obese person and know they are not healthy. Also of course beauty is subjetive, but there are general attractive traits. I mean in nature you wouldn't choose a man or woman that can run or breath normaly thanks to their weight, or has trouble moving around, is just unpractical. For the same reason some people don't choose smokers, alcoholics and other people with bad habits, is not nice to live with someone that actively makes bad desicions about themselves

As a plus sized woman I go through this a lot. People/Doctors see me as a weight number instead of a person. I've been vegetarian for seven years and my labs come back healthy each time except for high blood pressure. No cholesterol or diabetes etc. The doctors have nothing to say so they again turn to weight. An endless cycle. I've had doctors address my weight before entering the doorway and introducing themselves. I probably eat more vegetables for breakfast than they do all week.

Your lab results do not mean you are healthy and have nothing to fear. Overweight causes A LOT of health issues, many of them over time. It’s positive that you try to live healthy but nevertheless weight reduction is a cornerstone of a healthy life.

Even if you don't have health conditions that are relationated with being overweight that doesn't mean is not harmful. Being overweight by itself is harmful, even for the people that are overweight by body building (too much muscle weight) it is, is as simple as your body is not made to hold that much weight, so even if is muscle, your body will be negatively affected and you will reduce your life expectancy

Why do you keep mentioning vegetables You're not a child. That's some children folkore of "eat veggies and be healthy!" It's proper dieting and fitness, that's the answer you need. Eating vegetables whilst overweight/fat/obese does nothing if you're not losing any weight

Sooo true! Even if you think a person could improve their health by losing some weight you have no right to say that to them. I used to think it was ok to be concerned about other but when one my overweight friend told me that her obesity was due to a medical condition that she had no control over I felt really bad. She worked out more than me was more active and yet people made fun of her cause she wasn't slim. Stop spreading hate people. Everyone knows what they need to do to be healthy you don't need to tell them that.

As a shorter, slimmer guy, I tend to think I should stay out of the dating world (I fully opted out recently). I'm only into women. I know how the male-height thing works and I know women who'd tease and insult shorter dudes just for wanting to try to be with women, rather than just saying, "Not my type". In addition, if you are “too fat” for them, they will call you “too fat”. If you are “too skinny” they will cal you too skinny. Same goes for all the other adjectives: short/tall, fair/dark skinned, curly/straight hair. But they will never accept you for who you are and also never teach you to love yourself for who you are. This leads to perfectionism (which is wrong, there is no such thing as perfect) and anxiety, along with its impending consequences.

All souls could be healthy and beautiful but I don’t know how does that apply to our physical appearances. Your hero Lizzo is on the verge of being the epitome of Diabetes but that’s beautiful? Nope, life’s much more basic than that. It’s just what it is..you can’t be the equivalent of Buddha when you try and label everything as beautiful and healthy, if that were so I’d love to watch her speak on how death is inevitable and is beautiful..or cancer or try justifying women with beard and a cowboy hat looks more like Kid rock than Kid rock
