Looks a great project, my only question is could i be made with a little lighter/smaller material as it looks a little over engineered?

Definitely can be made lighter/smaller, I just made this from bunch of remaining/scrap material that I had in hand , so thought is better to make something out of them😇

Does your lathe have a mechanism to lock down the chuck? I don't know much about lathes.

My lathe doesn't, But some lathe does like hardinge lathe

Could you put the dimensions and material sizes on description pls?

@@michaelford3705 yes, all size are in mm, for arm that goes in tool post I used 20OD x 150length, the housing I used 70 OD cylinder x 30length , brass bushing 12 ID, 19OD with length of 30, for drill shaft I used 12mm linear shaft,
