Hey Lathrix, With regards to the shells, why not both? Set up one or two of your ammo inputs to a different shell type and give yourself a railgun that fires 3 Impact then 1 Penetration, or whatever ratio makes you happiest.

I definitely agree. Those penetration shells are really effective, but he's right that it's really satisfying to see the blocks flying off. I also find it really satisfying seeing holes get poked all the way through the target, so I totally agree that it would be best to use a mix of different ammo

The Hypathos is the bane of any player who runs into it the first time, one of the godly designs from the Lightning Hoods. You happen to have really high velocity shells, imagine if your main armament is crams and missiles. And as you saw, the damage output is really impressive.

Lathrix: (Intentionally weakens craft by removing repair bots) If you're going to make your craft less survivable, you might as well get something for it. Put a nuke armed sub vehicle on the deck and launch it at the enemy. That way, the enemy has a "Golden Finch" to shoot at, but Lathrix has some means of inflicting extreme explosive damage upon them.

It's as I said. The ship grows chaotically to morph into a form best fit for its environment. Then, it slowly adapts and becomes stronger within before again metamorphosing. Now is the time when it cleans itself of unnecessary growths from its cancerous expansion. Being serious I like how the ship keeps changing and these episodes are truly, gloriously entertaining.

Really enjoy your series, would love to see the shells you use on your cannons. I have been playing around with missiles that carry dumb thumper or other 'rockets', so the main missile aims the shot, while the rockets deliver a rain of lighting-fast fire.

Thank you for the videos. Stay safe and healthy. Isn't the point of impact to be armor "reduction" in the sense that it reduces overall armor stacking, allowing other shells with lower armor pen to do more damage. Armor pen shells may make holes, but the holes they make can be considered tiny 1x1, but impact makes bigger holes, meaning that pure explosive shells or pen depth explosive and other things that work better from the inside are easier to hit, because you don't have to bull's eye whatever hole the armorpen made, also the armorpen might just drill a hole completely through meaning the other shells also pass through without making damage, but impact still deals all the damage and for the most part leaves blocks for other shells to hit and deal damage (explosions and what not). So IMO it is better to mix, some shells to be impact, some explosive/pendepth. Heck mixing them might even look good, impact type explosions and fireball type explosions.

I personally kept looking for massive like the video signs until you pointed out the little automatic messages. I liked the big ones more I think cause it was always more humorous. I also think that it would be interesting to see you try to use a missile carrier for an adventure mode. It would require it being both tough and fast to close the distance and kill hard targets.

I personally find the penetrative shells to be more interesting for a few reasons. While there are fewer things just flying off the craft and less visual damage the way enemies twitch and break down as shots burrow through their internals is almost more of a spectacle. I loved how you managed to just snipe the AI out of a million resource cost ship in seconds with a few lucky shots and seeing turrets flinch a few times before going inactive because they've lost everything that makes them work is just more exciting than watching heavy armor blocks rain down into the sea for a few minutes. I also find the impact and explosive shells just boring from a tactical perspective. Because you need to burrow through the armor first before you can do damage with those shells they reward hitting the same spot again and again. So all you ever want to do is aim center mass and hold down the fire key until nothing is left. With armor penetrating shells on the other hand you can actually choose specific systems to target and can give some thought to what the inside of the craft is like while you aim. As well they reward changing aim frequently as you get more opportunities to hit internal systems which just adds variety to fights. Anyway I've been loving the content and have probably watched every From the Depths video you've put out. Keep up the great work.
