It took the Academy a couple of decades or three to award them so I guess they(Emmys) are doing the same with Evan?! Maybe he will get one for a great movie role versus an Emmy(television) as unfortunately AHS isn't quite as good as it was-it did get better imo this past season but its lacking story content as they are trying to give the fans serious throwbacks. I get it but it becomes harder to be fresh that way!

I would imagine that the level of crazy and psychopath that he brought to Kai is of the same actor / mental state that Heath Ledger had to go through to be Joker. I don't know that an average person could put themselves through that. Evan is a 100 % amazing actor.

This young man is a true talent! I don't think he gets enough recognition. One of his characters that blew me away and have a whole new respect for him was when he played Mr. James Patrick March. He was incredible! I hope he continues with AHS for it's entirety, it was disappointing enough without Jessica Lange. The show was still fantastic but she made it even better.

evan is my fave he is such a great actor and puts so much into his work but in real life he just seems like a normal, cool dude you'd hang out with i don't know, most celebs give off an 'elitist' vibe but evan is so chill anyway, one thing i love about AHS is even if a season isn't up your alley personally (everyone as different tastes) the acting is always rock solid edit: you know now that i'm thinking about it why evan as tate hit so hard i think is because with tate they were going for a kurt cobain vibe (though obviously not psychotic like tate) and evan really reminds me of kurt in interviews to be honest, both really chill tell it like it is non-elitist guys

Is he emo? I feel like he is because he spends so much time on a Horror show and he loves it but he also seems pretty normal. I just love his emo teenager vibe even though he’s like 30

He’s not emo. He mentioned that the characters he plays in ahs took a toll over him and affected his mental state. With this he may seem sad or in a “depressed state”

ah the laughter to hide the pain, when he talks about being sad. the quick drop to a frown. see, people often mistake smiling and laughter as always coming from a place of joy, but it can be a natural reaction to pain, maybe a subconscious attempt at masking discomfort or trying to remove oneself from the negative emotion because the burden of pain is too much. similar to dark humour, but usually entirely on the subconscious level. he is deeply uncomfortable with the thought, or he wouldnt have laughed when he mentioned sadness. i think actors should always have decompression therapists on hand as part of the film crew for roles involving dark subjects tbh. involving yourself in something so dark and with so many hours of work with this darkness every day, he said himself how exhausting it was, that clearly stuck with him because he kept repeating it, that combination can truly be deadly. all public figures should be strongly recommended to have therapy at all times as well, just for the madness that is life in the public eye. evan is an example of someone who needs it more than most, looks like.

Wow, I never thought this actor was so laid back and down to earth. Started watching this show recently with Coven season and it gradually became a Netflix binge thing, over the course of 2 weeks. Loved his acting in Murder House and Hotel...even Freak Show was good too. Cult however... I still cringe thinking about it. Maybe because it’s so close to current era and events. Some scenes he performed in were terrifying, I could not finish watching several episodes because of it.
