The opposite actually, left up to him, this relationship will last forever while women and children get raped, robbed and murdered. We need hundreds of brutal cops to come in the city with one thing on their minds... no drugs. Get rid of the drugs, get the people back up on their feet. I give it 4 months.

Law Enforcement officers were trained to be your so called "jerks" because they need to make sure that people will follow the law and not start a ruckus of profiling and the "My rights are being tampered by a person in uniform." type of scenario. My policy. If you're being arrested, your punishment is not to be treated poorly by police officers. The punishment is your loss of liberty, and then whatever punishment is given by a judge. I try to treat my custodies with respect, and in general they treat me with respect. The whole process is then done quickly and fairly. It makes everyone's life easier.

As a police officer this is how I act and it's how we all need to act in my opinion. It probably has to do with me growing up poor and having addicts in my family I got to grow up and see that's what not to do, im not afraid of it. This officer in the video i can tell he's not afraid of it and people pick up on that. it's super stressful but best job in the world. I love helping people especially in the city I grew up in.

Officer Deon Joseph is a true hero... I, myself, have been down to Skid Row w/ my church to feed and clothed the people on numerous occasions. I'm aware of the conditions of Skid Row and have been praying for the population.. so to see that God has people like Deon Joseph patrolling Skid Row, helping the community, saving lives; that is truly a blessing to see. Hopefully, I can meet Joseph, some day. But in all honesty, I thank God I came across the clip. The world needs more people like him.

Agreed that this cop is doing a good job. But, when California politicians spend $29 BILLION, EACH YEAR, on illegals, then that's $29 billion that could be spent building a TON of affordable housing units (and other valuable services) for AMERICAN CITIZENS. And now that Cali is a "sanctuary state" that $29 billion will only increase. It's a crying shame that scumbag politicians allow this to happen, but until the citizens of Cali wake up and vote those politicians out--and vote in politicians committed to HELPING AMERICANS--then it's going to continue to be the same sorry status quo. And to add insult to injury, Los Angeles decides to raise taxes to address the homeless problem?! Are you fucking kidding me?! I'm telling you, so long as you have a bunch of bleeding-heart politicians that won't put Americans before illegals, then ultimately the citizens who are the suckers. WAKE UP!

How can you say "not anymore?" Most cops are still good people. It's just the criminal black community who's trying to paint a negative picture of law enforcement. The whole country is starting to see through that though. Sure there have been bad cops. There have been bad everything. The majority of police are good. The solution is this; if a person doesn't like bad cops then that person should not put themself in situations that involve police. Sooner or later a person might have a "bad cop" respond to the call.
