Great writing for Bass Trombone! (everything else is great too, lol, but it's nice to see some good low notes for bass trombone that are style-appropriate)
@AnthonyOTooleMusic2 жыл бұрын
I played bass trombone in the wind ensemble and jazz ensemble in my undergrad -- although I'm a percussionist primarily, low brass is one of my secondary instruments. I love the instrument and it has such great effect when used properly at the right points in the right range. Adds great edge to the low end.

The "Prelude" seems heavily inspired by Ennio Morricone's style of orchestration. All in all, the third movement's gotta be the best for me.

Yeah the Bolero is fun, but the Discoteca is my favorite of the 5.
