In this video I am demonstrating the Latin Percussion Cajon Pedal. Cajons are a simple percussion instrument made to be played while sitting on them and they are great for a lot of different musical situations. LP has designed this pedal to be used in the same way you would a kick drum except you are hitting the Cajon rather then a kick drum. This leaves your hands free to play other instruments.
The LP Cajon pedal is specifically designed to fit most standard-sized Cajon's. it has a flexible 3-foot cable which makes it super easy to place the pedal in a number of different positions. You can adjust the spring tension and the beater angle like you can on any normal kick drum pedal. A very cool addition to this pedal is the custom-designed beater. It is a soft covered beater that gets you that authentic palm of the hand sound.

Using two cajons (cajones?) seems very weird. Why wouldn't you use the one you're sitting on? Does it not work well this way? Plus, miking it from the back seems to make more sense and would allow putting the pedal on the front.

LOL man, this is just a demonstration video, they decided to set up this way to better show the functioning of the pedal.. If you want to use the pedal on the cajon you're sitting in, or in your mother's head, be my guest... sheesh...

The beater looks way high, that means you'll have trouble playing on a single Cajon. Crazy to bring two, kinda defeats the reason of keeping it small. Then bongos, con gas...

Hey please let me hear uptime samba beats with this pedal. What's about the friction inside the cable. How fast is the pedal ?

Look up samba do cajon. That taught me that you don't need a pedal at all.

Wire always breaks because of the construction. Otherwise, I really liked the pedal...
