Schlagwerk CMH10 Cajon Microphone Holder is a great mount for a Cajon. I have a Meinl Trejon. It is HUGE, but I love the bass tones. I actually sit behind it like you did towards the end of this video, and I have my Cajon leaning back against my chair. I also use Cajon brushes to play. It allows me to sit upright and it’s easier to sing. Hope this helps. Blessings

Thank you for finding a solution for me. This is very helpful I will try the snare stand first cause in fact I do like to dance during worship service and I do like the stool for keeping me from showing chest you took care of keeping me all the way modest 😇👍 You have a way of making your viewers feel like their paying for upscale music lessons please keep doing what you do thank you.

I’m a beginner slaptop Cajon drummer and haven’t been able to find a stand that provides stability when playing…. I’ve contacted the Meinl Percussion Company and was told that they don’t manufacture a stand for the slaptop Cajon because that style of drum was meant to sit on a person’s lap…I tried resting it on my drum throne, but after an hour of playing, the drum will wobble and slide off…I then tried using my snare stand, but only 2 of the 3 prongs that hold it in place actually grip the Cajon--and the wobbling of the Cajon still occurs…for individuals that are disabled or in a wheelchair and prefer the slaptop Cajon drum over traditional style, what would you recommend? I appreciate your videos and your instructions…very helpful.. thanks!

My apologies for the late response. Have you tried using bungee cords with the slaptop? You may try using a towel wrapped around bottom of the slaptop and one of the prongs of the snare and using bungee cords to attach it. In other words bungee cords tight around bottom of the slaptop to one of the prongs, then angled away from you and playing it in front of you.

This is your best answer to this problem is a slap top cajon that sits in your lap. But instead use something like maybe a fold out keyboard stand. I am a fashion designer I do not see that as answer a long dress would catch on a microphone and disrupt the whole service a short dress would not be modest. The best solution is to treat it like a girl sitting at a piano keyboard or standing. The slap top projects the sound holes towards the congregation therefore you would be able to keep her dress away from the microphone and the cajon all together. I have a slap top cajon myself I use in my lap. But with a modest girl or lady this could be very difficult for a regular cajon. Because one way or the other the sound hole has got to have a microphone in front of the hole. Which is going to make noise on that microphone everytime that fabrics move. So I included a video at the end of a person reviewing this. See what most people don't think about in her case is the fabrics in the dress or skirt or even jackets. If a fabric is heavy it would stick out causing the microphone to be knocked over or maybe no problem at all. But if it is a full skirt or dress in a lightweight fabric. It would flow the direction of her lowest point. So when she stood up she could get tangled up in cords, stands, and if she is wearing high heels that could be another disaster waiting to happen. So when she starts to stand up the whole hemline and flow are going to come up with her. Bottom line a cajon should not be played in a loose flowing dress or skirt. Here is my suggestion buy one of these cajon they are only around a $170 and you don't have to lean over to play it. Because all the sound comes from the top kzbin.info/www/bejne/onrYanWDoJp2n5acttps://kzbin.info/www/bejne/onrYanWDoJp2n5Y

The turbo slaptop is a great solution! If a person doesn’t have one and the traditional Peruvian cajon is what they already have then that is what my solution in this video is for. I too would recommend this instrument you mentioned however I wanted to present some other solutions for the traditional style cajon. Some people may already have a snare stand and may not have thought of it. Also this video isn’t just for those with a dress but also for those who want to play it in a different manner. I do think however, that if budget isn’t an issue and the person would like to explore a different option then the turbo cajon slaptop would be an excellent solution. The foldout keyboard stand is also a great tip. I use a keyboard stand for various drums as well. Excellent ideas!

Also I did mention that if it is on the snare-cymbal stand combo you can now play it standing. Often people do not think about playing the cajon standing. I wanted to address that.

Yes mine and yours are great solutions for us guys and even sometimes some of our clothing can cause problems with microphones and cajons and especially if we are in a tight area. For instance a long trench coat or jacket. Chains hanging from belts can also cause problems. But with women there are a world of different disasters a woman can face trying to be fashionable and modest. A microphone should never be around loose flowing fabrics that it can get hung on. For example lace and chiffon and silk can tear real easy or get hung easily on anything and rip her skirt or dress. So you have a great solution on the snare stand. I found to that depending on the fabric the slap top will slide out from between our legs. It would probably hold still on denim pants. But Nothing with nylon and light polyester cotton pants. So I think I am going to build a stand for mine. I just thought since I have an associate of science degree in fashion design. I would point the real issues here of the flow of the fabrics can cause problems on a female.

At first they all frowned upon a woman rocking out in church like I do but I can't help the rythym in my soul. I play hard 🔥❤
