My grandfather was president of a farming company in California, they grew apricots, peaches, pears and prunes. Our ranch had a prune dryer and processing plant. All of the workers who picked the fruit traveled from Mexico and South America. I knew these workers for decades ever since I was a child. The workers were the nicest people I ever met. California and many other states will not be able to harvest the produce without these people and prices for produce will increase drastically because the average American will not work for the low wages these people are paid.

They use their known political talking points from when they were interested in following (republicans good with money, democrats focused on free programs which will raise taxes) and then stick with that group until something major overthrow their world view. I personally try to follow what the parties are actually representing but I do not follow each individual candidate. Realistically speaking the two party system is the cause of this issue as Congress has been in a stalemate unable to donit's job for decades. The problem for these supporters is that his last term there were people around him to stop him from doing what he said, now it’s a ‘free for all’ and now the supporters are shocked. It is a very different case this term.

I had a seasonal job for many years and when I was off from there I worked as a temp manual laborer. There were no jobs I wouldn't do save for one where we were ordered to go kick people out of their homes by throwing all their earthly possessions out on the street. That one was a branch too far, but the others literally wading around in raw sewage for days with no safety gear I was all in. And you know who else was all in ?? Taking jobs that would make most people vomit, and then run away screaming ? People from the Southern Hemisphere. They were just happy to have the work. We toiled around in burned down buildings, we cleaned up after broken sewage lines. We spent time using chemicals that probably transfigured us both physically and mentally and not for the better. They were the kindest, most hardworking people I have ever had the pleasure of doing jobs that resembled the show "fear factor" with. And we did it all for pennies on the dollar. I was the ONLY U.S. born citizen willing to do these jobs. Out of thousands. Just want everyone to know EXACTLY who Trump is kicking out of our country.

I lived in California for years. I was always impressed with the work ethic of South American people. They show up early and work had in the hot sun to get the job done. They are happy to work hard for an honest wage.

I grew up on a ranch and when I graduated highschool, I wanted to work on one. Even though there were plenty of ranches hiring in my area, none would hire an American bc there are laws that protect us. They want illegals bc they can take advantage of them ... They cant report abuse to anyone if they are here illegally. There are plenty of hard working Americans (many Hispanic workers), but we can't compete with the illegals. If the southern countries are full of hard workers, how come their countries are still schyt? Another thing, my sister dated a guy here illegally who worked on one of the ranches I applied to. The owner of the ranch was a wealthy woman who could have afforded to hire several Americans. Instead, she took advantage of his illegal status and paid him so little that he had no choice but to live on the ranch. The woman was getting 24/7 service for barely anything. This is not ok and it is not indicative of American workers being lazy.
